Automatic gratuity and it’s not for the server? That’s either a flat out lie or something is shady. The fact that they do this is stupid. Giving someone an automatic tip without earning it is UnAmerican and asking for a review before you even try the food is just dumb. The lesson here is buy a GMC instead of a Ford.

The Mai Kai was awesome, but I remember the New Times Best of issue back in like 2010 voted it the best place to grab a cocktail, but to skip the food. I listened and sat at the bar. The couple next to me ordered crab rangoon. They spit it out in a napkin and sent it right back. They said it was rancid. I hope they reopen with a killer kitchen because this place is iconic for south floridians.

Oysters consumed only in months containing R is outdated. So long as the oysters are fresh and proper chilling and handling requirements have been met, they’re fine to eat year round. That being said, if one tastes off, spit it out and stop eating. Report it to the local health department and if you start feeling sick, go to the hospital.

If you can find a place that will cook your hash browns this way give it a try, ask them to deep fry them. They are amazing but a lot of places will not cook them that way. Deep fired hash brown and ketchup is amazing!!

I work in hospitality and when I go out to eat, I usually tip more than 20%... But being forced to pay 20% makes me want to tip less especially after the auto gratuity... I also love Ford's Garage, just wish they would get rid of the 20% auto-grat... Great review!

Not the first Ford owned restaurant. In Vegas at the Ford dealership in Henderson(a suburb on the south end of Vegas) they have a diner called Mustang Sally’s attached to their dealership. Not sure if it is still open but the food was terrible. I lived in Vegas for 27 years, born and raised, and ate there years and years ago before I finally escaped Lost Vegas.

You're good with mussels because they are cooked. It's raw oysters that are the issue as they can carry bad bacteria. Cooking oysters kill the bad bacteria, so eating cooked oysters in months that don't end in "r" are Ok.
