We've had these in America for decades. They are called "Dicks Last Resort" and they are dotted around the country. They do funny stuff like throw 1000 napkins at you, or put 50 straws in your drink. Sometimes they will insult you for ordering weird stuff and yell out to the whole room "Oh this little asshole just asked for cheese on the side! Everyone tell him what a stupid prick he is!" It's great. But Karen's looks like they stole the concept for a British clientele and they really do it well. I'd love to eat here.

I believe a customer going to the restaurant should be well aware of what they are going to get from the service, if they can't handle it then it's as simple as just don't go there, now you might say well i want to taste the food, fine you can go but you should keep in mind that whatever you get from service, it's just their job(it's business not personal) regardless of whether they are seriously being rude or jokingly, when it comes to physical harm then that's crossing the line.

The parents can make poor decisions but that doesn't mean that this dude's has to go all hands on deck cruel defeating her with ease. Children learn when they are talked to just above their level of understanding with insulting their intelligence by assuming they understand nothing. This is why adults who speak to children similar to their peers with only a slight dumbing down are respected by them. This place takes the whole concept of "the customer is always right" crap and shits on it, because 90% of the time it's true. I don't think you have got the jist of what the place is all about. @@Luir_mias Nah. At 13:19 you can see the waiter guy trying his hardest to keep a scowl on, but slightly failing to keep up the act. He even cracks a very slight grin/smile, though it's most likely because he knows Eddie from YT, and is a low-key fan/subscriber of his. Eddie being there was probably the highlight of his day, and he had to keep up the act at the risk of his job. Think of Karen's almost like the Heart Attack Grill, but instead of a Doctor Theme that promotes Obesity, it's a Karen Theme that promotes Rudeness. And yet, despite the negative themes, they don't do any ACTUAL damage, nor do they get PERSONALLY involved. The Heart Attack Grill, for instance, LETS you know that you're going to be at high risk of a heart attack before deciding to try something crazy. Whereas, Karen's lets you know at the entrance that them being rude to you is considered part of their act. And yet by the end of the day, they're both valid restaurants that go through the necessary steps to preparing your food to where it's safe to eat. The whole "picking a chip off your plate" thing may be something they may do, but at least they don't get hands-on and just grab a chunk from your plate, or bite out of your burgers. Though the mouths and words are unfiltered, their ACTIONS still have some boundaries.

You’re probably one of those guys that complain about rude service to the manger in a place like this.

Its a far cry from 'Bernard Manning's World Famous Embassy Club'! Where people would pay to get the piss brutally (but *cleverly*) taken out of themselves... A contemporary figure, Bernard's act used wit, timing & comedic genius to destroy people, resulting in genuine tears of laughter... 🤣 This on the other hand are just plain insults, with no flutter of substance or intelligence behind the eyes or words... Surely this shite hasn't got any longevity?!?! Its about as funny as a burning orphanage!!! 🤣 (thanks Bernard 👍) I guess it's what comes from dumbing down the culture to such a degree that people actually do find it funny... 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Disclaimer - I dont believe a word i say... 😊👍

Southern here .. yeah I can be polite and insulting at the same time. I've done this type of diner. Never again. The difference between knowing how and when to be passive aggressive and just being an absolute asshat. Nah... I'll take the diner in the South where they will be rude when it's NEEDED only.

As a Bavarian, this feels like heading in the right direction. A classical bavarian server allways has to feel a little bit annoyed by the custummer.

Awesome, my absolute favorite move of all time! The good ol "jerk it then throw it at you" @5:56 is a total classic ❤ The key to pulling it off (pun definitely intended) is to keep the eye contact at a maximum level!

Honestly I think this staff will have "somehow" of negative behavior switch in their private life cuz when you act a certain role for too long you somehow absorb some that role's behavior, just like actors when acting as a villain or narcissistic man/woman they absorb some of it maybe for a short or a long time..
