4:32 Fel, a gentle reminder it is considered 'rude' and 'impolite' to dip chopsticks with rice into sharing dishes. The rice residue inside the dish will shortened the shelf life of the dish. Aside from that, keep up with your good work ! Love hearing your conversations with the locals.
Its one thing to be welcomed as a stranger snooping around deep in the village😂 but to immediately be invited in for food, thats another level of hospitality. However I have a feeling that the fact that you speak Chinese very well has a lot to do with that. So you've more than earned the treatment. What a lovely lady!!!

@timurkral3781 not really. This is Chinese culture. It's not like here in the West where we move onto a new topic each time and get offended or annoyed when asked the same questions again and again. In China it's more like you'll be asked the same thing a few times as a way of expressing your feeling. For example let's say you got a girlfriend, they'll talk about that multiple times in a short time frame. Like "Oh she is so pretty" as a side comment if that makes sense. So they are talking without giving it much deep thought, it's an accompanying point to show their emotion. If you go to China and see hospitable people, you'll find people say "chi la" as in "eat" multiple times.

The reason why one of the first things Chinese people (generally older) asks guests if they've eaten yet is because China went through famine and starvation for a period of time decades ago. As a Chinese who only gets to visit home once every few years; this is an extremely accurate depiction of the more rural regions of the country. The people are immensely kind and many many front doors are just wide open - incredible sense of community. In China, they treat you like a human, and it seems like it's the case for all of China. They're aren't divided about skin color, race, religious differences, gender, pro nouns, and politics unlike the west which explains why they've become so much more advanced than the west. We can take a lot of notes from the Chinese people. I have Chinese bloodline from my great grand father so I just feel a deeper sense of loyalty for China at this point. The hospitality I received despite communication barrier is making me want to learn mandarin, and do business with the Chinese.

I've been studying Chinese philosophy for almost a year. And I'm pretty sure that all the love they have in them come from some of their ancient philosophies, especially Confucianism. Their virtue is based on treating others better then yourself, and only then would you be consider a human being. To be human, is to engage with love towards another, and only then you can become a human being and understand who you really are. It just shows us how much loveable Chinese people can be despite the still bad facade that we often and sadly sees from medias.

In China, if you go to a convenience store to ask for money, you are likely to be seen as a scammer. But if you say you haven't eaten for several days, then you will be overwhelmed by the food. When you leave, they will also bring you enough food and water.

I really enjoy watching your videos because you truly do make the video about the people you meet & interact with & in doing so I have learned much about Chinese culture. There are so many people sharing video travel blogs that are more about themselves & their vanity rather than about the people they meet but your being so different makes your videos a step above the rest. "Grandmother" was so very nice to invite a stranger into her home & feed him & that was very heartwarming as you don't see that type of friendly behavior in today's world. Mankind would definitely benefit from having a lot more individuals like " Grandmother" in the world.

She was extra nice. Just next time, don't double, triple, quadruple dip in all the food. Scoop all of your food in your plate, then eat. The many non verbal gestural sounds and more casual native phrases.
