Eating Kueh 'Neraka' (hellish baked cakes)

The shop making the cakes is located in Kota Baru, Padang, Indonesia. The delicacies are known as cakes from hell due to the way the cakes are baked with firewood above and below the earthen bowls. The firewood lines the makeshift oven in a stretch like a hellish fire.
Otherwise the cakes are also popularly known in Malaysia & Singapore as kueh gandus and lempeng. The gandus is made from rice flour and grinded coconuts. While the lempeng is further mixed with bananas.
However, these delicacies are rare and difficult to get as only elderly folks are known to consume them and not many shops are prepared to sell them.
