I’m more fascinated at the fact that they served everything in a plastic back or “newspaper” paper. That’s honestly amazing. And no matter what you got they threw everything in the same bag. Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s quite educational for me.

Plastic bags or 'nylon' bags are a big problem in Nigeria. It is littered everywhere as not recycled

@@ifehansson2254 So true but hecks, nearly everything that goes against natural resources is a problem in this world. I am fully aware of the damages plastic bags have on the planet but that doesn't take away from the fact as to how fascinating it is to be served food that way. Street foods in all parts of the word is served differently, which it alls/ we all, play a role with the pollution in the ocean and our landfills. Yes we all have to do better at our plastic consumption.

@@Jemmaschannel thats what street food is supposed to be. Street food is supposed to be fried and unhealthy, thats what makes it street food. Nobody eats street food for the health benefits. Just because its not necessarily healthy doesnt mean its not nice food.

Omg… I kept hearing Megida Ayobo close to the end of the video, that’s my area in Lagos. As in I lived most of my young adult life there (I’m still young though..lol) and my parents still live there. I read in a comment that you shot this at Egbeda market. I know that place very well. Now I feel so nostalgic 😩 Need to visit home soon. Thank you for sharing these moments with us.

I miss Suya. Last time I had it was when I visited Nigeria in 2018. There's a suya spot in Ikeja. The meat was so fresh. We had to queue up but Well worth it. Out of the three weeks I was there, I returned to the spot ten times !!!😋😋😋

As you can obviously see, less people ( all eating that street food ) died of covid. It's not a coincidence when you take into congniscence that they ( our enemies) would do all it takes to paint our continent negatively as they could. We outlive all of them and they can't destroy us.

🤣 There are vegans in Nigeria too. There are vegan foods. In fact there are vegan restaurants in Lagos, I believe.

I have a suggestion. When you are going to the market and you know beforehand, bring a few pieces of tupperware so you can save a few plastic bags. Maybe you can start a trend.
