So sorry I missed this stream. Watched the cooking video, set the reminder for this, then got called away. You are blessed to have each other, and we are blessed by your posts. As a drywaller over 40 years, you are right, Ron. Once you get heat, let the walls come to temperature for a couple of days before taping. Good luck and get muddy!

Here's a recipe for Spice Tongues, which according to Edna Eby Heller's Pennsylvania Dutch Cookbook, are akin to the seldom seen Shrewsbury cakes. I made these once many years ago, and they were delicious. 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup lard, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1/2 cup warm water, 2 cups Brer Rabbit molasses, 5 cups flour, 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Mix the sugar, lard and molasses. Measure the flour before sifting then sift together with the spices and baking soda. Add this alternately with water to the sugar mixture. Let it set overnight. To shape, take balls of dough 1 inch in diameter, flatten into the shape of a tongue. Lay on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Justine, I take my hat off to you being able to cook and eat meat while your pregnant. I always knew I was pregnant because my first symptom was going off meat! The smell of meat, cooking meat, trying to eat meat and even touching meat used to make me run for a bucket and heave up my contents! I always became anaemic when pregnant. This was probably the reason!😂 I always thought I looked haggard while pregnant because I was always so violently ill! You Justine are glowing and your little tummy is cute!

Justine make have an overdress made and wear it over your Red ball gown, you can then adjust your red skirt for comfort, it was common to losen the lacing at the back of the dress. It was not a problem to show you are pregnant. Glad you are doing well with the pregnancy Justine, Ron get on with that house. Ron why not carve Justine a "Love Spoon" for Valentines day. You can see plenty of designs online or just make up your own.
