Scorpions are the symbol of Durango, one of the northern, desertic states of Mexico. So you can skip it now :p I never liked them and you're right, the after taste is awful. I'm happy to see you enjoying Mexico, Bienvenido, Ben! Ps: Pulque can be very tasty but it may make your stomach suffer if it's your first time, so be careful (and if it happened to you, you know what to blame)
