🇮🇳 MAHAN INDIAN RESTAURANT:
✈️ CHECK OUT MY TRAVEL BLOG: davidsbeenhere...
One of my favorite things to do is teach others about Indian food, which I truly believe is severely underrated in most parts of the world. Whether it’s friends, followers, celebrities, or fellow content creators, I love it! Come with me as I eat North Indian food with Raina Huang in Los Angeles, California!
If you’re not familiar with Raina, she is a KZbin, Instagram, and TikTok sensation! She’s extremely popular competitive eater with a massive social media following. She can put down a ton of food without breaking a sweat-I don’t know how she does it! She also loves spicy food!

We’d be dining at Mahan Indian Restaurant, which specializes in North Indian cuisine, which is heavy on breads and rich, creamy gravies. In the kitchen, we watched them prepare onion pakoras, which we sampled. They were so crispy and full of onion flavor!
At our table, we had seven dishes: saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, veg biryani, garlic naan, onion pakoras, and dal tadka. We started on the chicken tikka masala, which didn’t feel too spicy. The creamy gravy was unreal!
The saag paneer was almost like a spinach dip with cubed cottage cheese called paneer. Then, we jumped on the onion pakoras with tamarind chutney. They’re so crispy and tasty. The tangy mint-cilantro chutney also paired nicely with it!
Then, we jumped on the dish we were both waiting for: the goat curry. The graby was so thick and less creamy, but still very decadent. I loved the gamy taste and the tomato-rich gravy. The garlic naan takes it to the next level.
Next was the dal tadka, which we mixed with our rice. The dal was light and creamy but also a little spicy. Then, we jumped on the veg biryani, which also contained peas, cilantro, bell peppers, and edamame. I taught Raina how to eat it with her hands!
Then, we added raita to the biryani, which added a creaminess and glued the rice together. But adding the gravy from the chicken tikka masala made it even better. The goat curry was my favorite, but the biryani with the chicken tikka masala gravy was incredible as well!
We finished with kheer. It was thick and sweet, and very milky and creamy! I loved how decadent it was. It serves as a great palate cleanser after a heavy meal!
