if you need to feel real taste of srilankan food you need to eat with your hand! in srilanka we mix all curry's together that give more taste than eating one by one! try eating kottu,string hoppers, pittu ,crab curry,Watalappam . i am you will like those dishes! Loved this video! Love how detailed you were with the food. So many others will show food and restaurants and don’t say enough about it but you were so detailed that it makes it easy to decide if a restaurant or dish are something we’d enjoy!! I did like the Sri Lankan food section of this video, reminded my of my trip to Sri Lanka a few years ago. However, I did like it that you took a side road and discovered somewhere new. As my father says; "Good to do one thing new every day." That could be as simple as looking at the outside of a building that you've never seen before.

Did the cost include the drinks? That's an awesome price I think, for two with all those lovely dishes. I went to an Italian place here in Minneapolis, no appetizers, 2 glasses of wine each, and one main each, $100 (+$20 tip), so that's 70 GBP (-tip). You ate somewhere fabulous in Central London. Gawd I miss home.

Pandariffic video. I sometimes enjoy just being a tourist when I'm in London too. 🤗 When I first tried Sri Lankan cuisine I was on a trip to Brighton. After a disastrous first attempt, due to not realising just how spicy Sri Lankan cuisine can be, I settled for one thing on the menu that wasn't fire flavour, I settled with a simple bowl of plain rice. If I hadn't tried Sri Lankan cuisine I might not have found such a delightful Japanese eatery during the same Brighton trip. Looking forward to your future feasting around lovely London 🐼🐼

@@dejashu Playing tourist in your own city is fun unless it becomes embarrassing and end up asking a tourist for directions 🤣 I forget the name of the Sri Lankan eatery in Brighton but it's just opposite the coach parking bays just through the cut or around the corner from the hotel at the end of Kings road nearest the pier. The Japanese eatery I came across by chance was sushi garden, off one of the streets at the opposite end of the coach station but before the king's hotel and Hove. Hope you can place those eateries. It's been ages since I last visited Brighton. I miss it. 🐼🐼

Kotthu roti is not an authentic Tamil dish. It’s a Muslim dish now adopted by the others. You have to go to SriLanka to try the real thing.

@@dejashu Yes they are well near near my area anyway in Ilford Lane there is this one called the Nagina restaurant which is the one my dad takes me to sometimes haha. Its a traditional one but also there is the Al Hashim Khyber Restaurant. Which have more authentic dishes this one is in East Ham area. So the choice is yours to be honest. I hope it will give you inspiration to dine out there someday 😊
