This… 😂 Go late morning to any of the delis or cafes here in Encino, CA and every single table is slammed with octogenarians having coffee, or bagels w lox or liver. Point is… if you don’t have all the seniors there at 9-11am it really is a bad sign, at least in my area.

Food down here in south carolina is fairly cheap but wages are low weirdly when I was in upstate NY food prices were only slightly higher but I know wages are much higher up there but most places thats not the case.

We know you like your eggs with the cheese scrambled into the egg. Most places besides the Waffle House, place the cheese on top of the eggs. Just a suggestion: When you order the eggs, you should inform them that you want them to scramble the cheese into the eggs while cooking 😉

Not melting the cheese in the eggs is not uncommon in Diners. You need to tell them to do it if that's how you want it. Some places put it on top and it is slightly melting.

What’s so funny about this is every time I’m out and about in the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill area selling houses and need to make a quick stop to grab odds and ends from the store I stop at Stop & Shop next to this place. I have yet to see a lot of cars in the parking lot for this place. Makes sense after watching this as to *why* there’s no one ever there 😂

This past January, I took a trip to Hartford and as i was heading back home late at night, I saw this Diner on google showing 24 hours. To be honest, i drove past there and turned around immediately. The look of the diner screamed creepy and uneasy vibes for me. What i find most interesting is that you saw a sign saying, “Under New Management.” When i went there, now five months ago, that sign was still up. Maybe i don’t understand the reasoning, but after five months that sign is still up? The sign was also handwritten and taped up with no care. Just seemed very unprofessional to me.

First off Daym, that beautiful little woman across the table from you, picked me for the PS4 giveaway a few years back! Don't do her like that with that poor dessert!! Secondly if you're coming to FL can you hit up the panhandle? Seems like nobody come up here! I HIGHLY suggest Panama City Beach. You have to try the Goat Burger (no, it's not actually goat) from the Salty Goat Saloon! Best burger I've ever had!

US prices are really interesting. They are similar to New Zealand prices for the same food, but the New Zealand dollar is worth a lot less. And then I believe you also pay tips and taxes on each transaction over there? must get pricey, no idea how poor people cope. Thanks for another great vid 👍

@@willkriss1497 yeah it can be. It’s such an unusual behaviour here that it really stands out. At high end places people are more likely to tip but it’s mainly foreigners (USA) who do. I wouldn’t recommend it. An appreciative thanks and smile is all that’s needed, maybe a good word to the persons employer if they’re particularly outstanding. Then they’re more likely to get a pay rise which is better than a tip :)

Maybe it's because I'm from the south, but I've never seen scrambled eggs with cheese with a slice of cheese on the top. So odd. And I'd love to see the Japanese steakhouse. Would also love to see some Middle Eastern spots. I think that's something you haven't done yet.

It can be done right, that was a brick of egg served cold. If you dont know how to make scrambled eggs its gonna suck. It works with eggs that are properly separated. Most places dont mix it because it makes so many dishes and its too many egg pans to keep hot. Waffle house does it using like 20 uncured cast iron tiny pans in rotation, not the regular stainless pans. They throw the egg into the cast iron when its close to done and put in the cheese. Very messy process, caused a lot of dish issues when i worked there. So many spots will just make you some good scrambled eggs with cheese on top and it aint bad. Dishes are a big problem in the diner setting.

Hit your local Save-a-Lot, or even the Dollar Tree, get your ingredients (flour tortilla, chicken or beef, cheese), put it all together, fry it up, cut into triangles, put your favorite condiments (salsa, sour cream, guac) on them, have your beverage of choice, maybe some chips on the side, and BAM!! You got a meal!

For me another disappointment would be if the restaurant charges more and the quality doesn't stay the same it drops too. If I was a life long patron and both of those things happened it would take some talking to get me to come back. If they charge more and the quality is at least equal if not better I will be upset but I understand if its cents not dollars, unless it was a unique item that only certain places can get. But love your channel. Keep going you're awesome. Stay blessed

If the scrambled eggs have a sulfur taste, I looked it up and it says but that suggests those were some bad eggs. If you get a case of the bubble gut of dread, it was those scrambled eggs

First impressions last a lifetime, the menu is a bad way to start out a dining experience. Go buy new menus, what’s with the posted notes? Turn off!! The glasses were hideous. That's so strange that the eggs have a funny taste, it seems really easy to cook eggs on a flat grill even with a minimal amount of somewhat flavorless oil, as a customer that this type of thing makes me want to be able to see the kitchens where I buy food

If eggs have a funny taste, it's one of two things. Either the grill isn't being cleaned and is building up old residue that's cooking into the eggs, or the eggs themselves are going bad.

At some diners, you have to tell the waitress exactly how you want your eggs prepared. They would have made them slightly runny if you would have requested it.

We use to go to a place near the university of New Mexico at least 6 times a month. They had the best breakfasts, lunches and dinners, always rated high by reviewers..then the owner decided to do some remodeling, then it was putting tv’s on the walls, then the glasses changed to smaller plastic and with each step the quality of food went down. The serving staff were always nice, unfortunately it took less than 3 years for a beloved restaurant closed for good. Such a shame..beware of tacky menus and plate and glass changes and tv’s hanging on the walls.

They did close like a week ago. Apparently they had new management since 4 years ago and it turned awful. Kinda sad. Not about the food but other than Denny’s down the street (which also closed) those were our late night hangouts after the bar. This was 15-20 yrs ago. So many great memories. Ah well🤷🏻‍♀️
