Käsespätzle taste much better if you add raw sliced onions which have been covered in flour before frying them in a pan in oil or ghee/clarified butter. Tote Oma is a term which only existed in the Eastern part of Germany. I would boil the sausage, get it out of its skin and afterwards fry it in a pan with onions and garlic. Add the Klöße to a pan with fried onions, garlic, and scrambled eggs and the result will be a delicious dish.

Easy to make - check a KZbin video. Dried versions are available in the US at Aldi (well, with mushrooms etc. and sauce) and various Russian or other European supermarkets if you have them where you live.

Well explained, thanks for great presentation. Once I did the same went to many supermarkets in a day to pick varied products, at the end I realised spent half of the day. Respect in that manner too :) I would love to hear about Australian cusine too (and taste too in one day).

Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I am guided by is Jenny Pamogas Canaya . I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care for supervision.

Haha, I wish this is how we would do food shopping in America. We fill a big cart with food for a week or two. It is true our fridges are huge compared to Europe and many people have a fridge in the kitchen and an extra freezer-only in the garage. This way we can plan for grocery shopping every rwo weeks. Of course we need a car. With this type of backpack-shopping one has to run to the store a few times per day... well, at least once a day... lots of waste of time... But, I will not be moving to Germany soon, so I don't have to worry, I suppose :)

Respect!!!You are a very brave man! Half of the stuff is quite suspicious to most younger germans... But i love Baumkuchen and Quarkbällchen very very much!!!To get the best Baumkuchen you should visit the city of Salzwedel not so far away from Berlin or go to beautifull Wernigerode in the Harz (but the "original" is quite expensive!!!).
@ExpatCaptures3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I thought most of the items were actually quite good! 😂 I didn't know about Salzwedel and Wernigerode. That could make for an awesome day trip in the future!

my Harzer Roller needs some mustard on top, or i eat it as Handkäs' mit Musik. put the Harzer Roller into some oil and vinegar with diced onions and let it sit for 1-2 days in the fridge. before you want to eat it, get it out of the fridge to let it get room temperature, put some caraway seeds, grounded pepper and some parsley on top. that's the way i do it... Guten Appetit..! :-)
@ExpatCaptures3 жыл бұрын
Wow! Sounds like the effort might be worth the taste! I might try next time, but I will start with the mustard 😅 thank you brother!

Slice the molded Harzerkäse up on a well buttered slice of bread and put a littlebit butter also on top of the powdery white middle of the cheese ;-) thats how i really like it. Ps: at the moment nearly every day :-D

That's interesting. I've never had Spätzle with Cheddar Cheese and Feta, now I'm curious about it. It's definitely not how Germans eat it tho. Usually Spätzle is eaten either with egg, caramelized or fried onions, parsley, speck and Emmentaler cheese and a bit of milk to make it creamier (of course also salt and pepper) or with a mushroom sauce. You should try it that way, it's really nice 👍🏼

Hallo! I tried ordering a Stollen from the bakery in Dresden where you ordered yours, it looks really good, (order is to be delivered to a family member in Berlin), and after order was completed they sent me an invoice by email, with their bank information… And asked me to pay their bank directly to ship the order… No credit card information was requested… I was wondering if the same happened to you, or if I may have done something wrong? Please let me know. Thanks! :)

Hi. I didn't have to do any bank transfers. I believe I either paid with my card or PayPal.

Lol not sure but definitely an equivalent 🧀🙂
@NineBerry3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are commonly called "Scheibletten" in Germany because that was the brand name used by Kraft when introduced here, but it is now available from a large number of brands and most supermarkets usually carry very cheap ones of their own supermarket no-name brand.
