I was bullied growing up. Never had attention from girls in school, or my parents for that matter. Had fights almost every day in school. I'd never make anyone feel the way I was made to feel. I'm no people pleaser, but I'm kind and courteous to everyone. Dan's the antithesis of that, I've seen it happen to so many people. Hell, I've even had to work for people like him. I noticed that comments are disabled on his video, so apparently he does not want to hear any criticism of his remarks. I watched it, and I noticed how earnestly sincere he comes across throughout. He is also incredibly polished; he doesn't seem to be reaching for any words, or taking a few moments to process how he should respond to a question. It comes across as him knowing exactly what he he is going to say before he's even asked the question. For all we know, he wrote the questions himself. In other words, it reeks of being scripted. And he's extremely selective of what issues he's willing to address. He repeatedly makes his pitch that, in essence, he was simply overworked and short-tempered, and he said and did some impertinent things, and that he owes some people some apologies (he hasn't even apologized to anyone in the years since his sacking?!?). But on the more serious allegations, the questions aren't even raised, so he isn't put in the uncomfortable position of having to provide any answers. And as the executive producer, I find it very hard to believe he played no role whatsoever in what his staff people were paid. He did argue that it's supposedly perfectly normal in television for two writers to split one salary, and claimed that it happened multiple times in his writers' rooms. However, I've read recently that apparently that's not true, it is in fact very illegal. I should hope the SWG pursues this matter with both Schneider and Nickelodeon, and ensures that writers are properly and lawfully paid for their work.

And to be fair, in some, probably most, cases the parents ARE disgusting scum (like Jennette McCurdy’s mother) but there WERE good, strong, loving, caring parents that were looking out for their children, and these predators pushed them out the way. The parents who were concerned DID raise concern, and they were silenced.

I’m sorry , but both Dan, the parents, and the executives were exploiting kids. Even the women that were sharing the salary. They were writers ✍️ and knew the show was meant for kids. It all came down to money 💵 and exploitation. Being selfish! Put yourself in the parents shoes and if you saw with your own eyes what was happening why would you as a responsible and loving parent continue to let your child do sexually suggestive material for money. That’s crazy. They were the adults! They were in charge of the outcomes of their children’s well being. The moment Drakes dad saw that the people in charge did nothing to protect his son he should have put a restraining order or taken him out. There was absolutely no reason for him to continue to be around that man!

Dan basically says he wants to apologize... but never actually does. If he really meant it, he'd reach out to each and every person in the doc, and even those that weren't. He hasn't. He's already built his empire and he comes off as if he currently has no shame about anything he did. Cut the jokes out? The damage has already been done. My heart absolutely breaks for Drake Bell and what he went through. I couldn't watch his interview without crying my eyes out. The fact that his father had his suspicions and it happened anyway, especially when he warned Drake's mother and she simply didn't listen... omg 😢💔 She failed her son, point blank. A year and 4 months is *NOT LONG ENOUGH* for what Brian Peck did to him!!! I also cried when they found all the child porn and a child's undergarment in Jason Handy's house and what he wrote in his journal. Absolutely disgusting and horrifying. And Boogie.... you say you can't speak on anyone's journey, but then you go and speak about Amanda? 🧐 If you can't speak on another's journey.... why are you conducting this interview? Why not go to the victims and ask them if they'd care to speak further about their journey? You literally praise Dan for the work he's done, including the success of the black actors. What about those black actors that were treated poorly and those that had to go to therapy? Screw them, right? Disgusting. You gave him the opportunity to paint himself in a better light. Dan and his fake tears played you like a fiddle and you don't even see it smh. The *ONLY THING* I can agree with is suggesting a therapist on set. Some kids might not know how to tell their parents they don't feel comfortable, safe, or they're not interested in the industry. A therapist might be able to pick up on subtle body language clues and can tell when something is wrong. Kids need a lot more protection than that though... asking parents to leave the room while the adults speak to them is highly unacceptable. No minors should be left alone in a room full of adults. This whole thing makes me sick... especially when Brian got a job at Disney after all of this. What in the actual fk?? I'm officially *DONE* with Disney! Hearing some of my favorite childhood celebrities defended a child predator is absolutely mind boggling to me. Seeing adults actually victim blame a *CHILD* and claiming the adult was the victim is in a whole different world of its own. I've caught small glimpses of shows on Nickelodeon here and there and I just never understood what people saw in them. They simply weren't funny, imo. I'm deeply sorry to each and every one of you that suffered at the hands of Dan Schneider, Brian Peck, Jason Handy, Cody Longo, Marty Weiss, and Ezell Channel. Watching this doc and this interview was hard, I can't even imagine having to actually live through it. You all have my deepest sympathy and I wish you all nothing but healing and happiness.

AND a 3rd party advocate hired to make executives aware of the situation. That way, in the case of Dan, if people were coming in on set to check-in on the behavior, he would have no idea.

Just came out that he's suing Quiet On Set for defamation. Which only shows that he's NOT sorry and will take no real accountability unless the cameras are pointed at him.

It’s embarrassing for him because he’s a narcissist who got CAUGHT. He’s embarrassed he got CAUGHT. He’s embarrassed people are JUDGING him. He’s embarrassed people are thinking LESS of him. He’s not embarrassed because his actions are despicable and horrendous acts of abuse against women and CHILDREN. He’s embarrassed because of his EGO. He’s embarrassed for himself, and not his victims.

More like he’s pissed off that he got caught. If he was truly embarrassed, he would feel remorse and not sue the documentary that called him out.
@yanderevenom9793
@yanderevenom9793 5 күн бұрын
@@amylee8969 you don't need remorse to be embarrassed. He's not embarrassed because what he did in secret for years came to light, he's embarrassed because they're attacking him as a person and judging him for things he feels personally justified in doing, because narcissists, due to their delusions of grandeur, feel a since of entitlement to things they believe they're owed (on the grounds of merely existing as themselves). He's suing because he has a fragile ego (hence the abuse and temper tantrums when people ever questioned his authority) and wants to silence the victims (again) the makers of the platform that boosted their voices (makers of the documentary). Narcissists can NOT handle any kind of criticism, and that's where his embarrassment comes in- that he's being judged as less than.

"If I would have known back then, I would have changed it." You always knew what you were doing, Dan. You literally (as told in the docu-series) told ALL of the parents from the child actors and actresses to LEAVE the room to barely and briefly adress the former employee who r*ped and s*domized a CURRENT child actor you were working with in order to not get sued/be held responsible for child endangerment by them. You knowingly SEPARATED children from their legal guardians, the ONLY ones who could (and you knew potentially WOULD, have they known) protect and remove them from that enviroment, JUST TO CONTINUE THE SHOW. A child can't emotionally take that information like an adult could. A child can't proceed to take action in that situation. THE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS needed to be primarily informed of that, and you deliberately withheld that from them. They only knew because of rumours and then the news. And guess what? Not only did it happen that time, but it did again. AND THEN AGAIN. 3 child predat*rs on the set, guess what (who) the common denominator is here! But yeah, pressuring a female coworker to scream "I'M A SL*T!" in a room full of people by threatening to put her job on the line if not totally comes out of naiveness of being a boss for the first time! You didn't know! Oopsie!

So let me get this straight a grown ass man who’s been abusing kids for years and years under a television program that claims to think about the children is getting special treatment when he’s not the one that is the victim in the first place as he spent more time with these kids than the parents that were supposed to be there to protect them. Alexa I’m very sorry for what you and the other child stars had to endure and put up with.

Her sense of justice is extremely off the mark. She continuously derails the conversation about abuse to generalize and demonize white males despite the fact that the biggest victim of this entire ordeal was a white male. By doing so she's opened the discussion up to being a battleground for a culture war because she feels the need to espouse blatant racism and sexism with victim's accounts. Imagine how damaging it would be to hear, after being sexually abused at a young age, that you are inherently part of the problem because you have white skin and XY chromosomes. I can personally speak from experience. She is jeopardizing victim's by derailing their accounts just so she can take cheap shots at white men.

What about the foot stuff? What about his treatment to Alexa? What about taking accountability for creating an environment where he COULDN’T be told no?! That was one of the biggest points of the doc! That Dan created a toxic environment to where he makes or breaks careers based on if those kids cooperate or not.

It's interesting how one of the first singles that Ariana put out after Victorious ended (Feb 2, 2013) was Break Free (lyrics video Jul 2, 2014), and then on Feb 6, 2015, she released One Last Time (lyrics video), and featured Matt Bennett, who played Robbie, in the actual music video which was released 10 days later (Feb 16, 2015)......... I might be reading too much into it tho, but like.... idk://
