@@Eatsleepcruise1just sailed the seashore. Did meraviglia in 2022 and sailing on world America summer 2025. Sailed all major lines and nothing beats the value with msc. Celebrity is still my fave when I’m not sailing with my kids though!

When it comes to shore excursions do your research and compare what the ship is charging v. a third pardy group. This means start looking at what's available through the cruise line as soon as you book because it's not always true that third party excursions are cheaper or even significantly cheaper. On my last cruise I actually saved money by going through the cruise line and for at least one excursion it was $100 cheaper than the third party. What I have found is that if you start looking soon enough the cruise lines will have 30-50% off offers so it's important to not just dismiss a cruise line excursion without comparing it to a couple of third party companies.

we have booked MSC twice through a European Agent for up 7 night MSC Cruises in the Mediterranean in February 2024, on MSC Fantasia, and again upcoming in February 2025 on MSC World Europe. In both cases Gratuities are fully included in the base fare, so your remark might be correct for US Cruises or US booked Cruises but not for Europe booked Cruises on MSC with Europe. Wish all Cruiselines do this globally. Would eliminate this weird US based Gratuity culture of fixed Gratuities. fixed=mandated and as such should be included.

Yes, we mentioned for cruises from US. But it would be great if it was just added to cruise fare.

all our bookings from the UK include the grats already in the fare as well, and also the drinks package we get is the Premium Extra (usually) seems a US thing to get the Easy one
