Brinjal and dry fish chutney or Baring Nakham as it is known in Garo language among the A.chik people of Northeast India and North Bangladesh is a really simple yet tasty dish.
Brinjal, fresh green chilies and dried fish are grilled on a charcoal grill and are pounded together with finely chopped onions to bring out the fresh, earthy and rustic flavor in the dish.
This dish is good with hot steamed rice as a side.
