Hi Nambi, i've watched your many cooking videos. those all are seems awesome and tasty. is this naga/manipure cooking style? i really want to try pork with bamboo shoots which i never tried even though these foods are easily available in Kalimpong, Darjeeling where i'm from. But now i'm in middle east and can't find those foods here. very badly missing my own country side food.
@EatYourKappa7 жыл бұрын
Hi Upendra, Thank you for watching the videos and thank you for your kind words. This particular recipe 'Chicken Soup' is a very general one and is very common to the entire Northeast. The pork with bamboo shoot is a Naga one. I am trying to showcase recipes from the whole of NE and from every tribe through this channel. I understand the feeling of missing home food, I have been in Chennai for quite some time and even though I like the food here, I really miss home food, whenever I get chance to go home, I shoot videos on local recipe. Which middle eastern country are you living in? I guess some countries allow the sale of pork. Getting fermented bamboo shoots might be a problem. I have been to Kalimpong, It's a beautiful place.
@upendrarai57967 жыл бұрын
well, m in Qatar. pork is not allow here and thts my fav. though, always checking pork recipes and keeping in my mind that u know, once i got home, i could try it. but m always starving by watching those videos. :D wow! you've been Kalimpong too, huh? great. do u speak nepali?
@EatYourKappa7 жыл бұрын
Ah! that's sad. You should literally 'pig out' next time when you visit home :) Yes, I have been to Kalimpong, Teesta river and surrounding areas were so beautiful. Regarding Nepali - Kosto cho and Ramro cho is all I know in spite of having so many Nepali friends .. shame on me. he he

i know You didnt mention its Garo Dish but You didnt mention its not Garo Dish either and seeing your cooking style and your channel itself "eat your kappa" signifies its Garo Cuisines and mind You everybody from other tribes know it as Garo Dish only....Look young lady am not here to criticize you or your dishes am not interested either its just that one of my colleague told me about your show and told me "OH MY THIS GIRL COOKED TRADITIONAL CUISINES ulta fulta" which compelled me to watch this (she is a well known person and she had tasted all the Garo Cuisines from all the Districts of Garo Hills)....thumps up for your channel but am sorry i cant tolerate when ppl spoiled the taste of ORIGINAL TRADITIONAL CUISINES with their modified ingredients...Yes You are right EXPERIENCE MATTERS ALOT and from my experience i can tell You this that "Good Chef doesnt have to cook and taste to judge but can judge even by seeing the ingredients and cooking styles!!!"

Jenti Shira I appreciate your wishes for my channels growth. Thank you. I invite you to watch this video once more. In the first few sentences itself I clearly stated that *this recipe is common across NE and doesn't belong to any specific region* Your argument over me spoiling an A'chik dish is purely based on your assumptions that since it's a Garo girl cooking with a channel which has a tinge of Garo-ness to it due to word 'kappa' ... it must be a Garo channel. I also invite you to go through my channel description and other videos that I have posted - it is a pan NE channel.

You do it all the time.. put things directly in hot pot... dont things stick and burn.?!..😇
@EatYourKappa7 жыл бұрын
+sanket dhone trust me it doesn't, but you have to make sure that the pan has a heavy bottom and you stir it now and then. Otherwise it will burn. Northeastern cooking uses minimal or no oil, I guess that's the reason we put in directly.

You must speak in our language because We the Garo people can't understand. Its ok, if your purpose is not to your own people
