A certain smell can evoke vivid memories of past times. Olivier Award-winning live artist Miss High Leg Kick and her performers come together to put on fun and quirky performances to explore the memories evoked by your sense of smell. These entertaining and inclusive ‘perfumances’ have accompanying smell-along fragrances to bring experiences of places and times to life.
Eau de Memoire is the perfume of memories, the smells that take you back to individual moments. Eash ‘perfumance’ revisits a memory of the artist. Discover the secrets behind the scents as you’re taken back to a funfair in 1978, with the aroma of popcorn, candy floss and a fresh salty breeze, or the school disco in 1988 where you can almost taste the strawberry lipgloss and where the boys are drenched in Drakkar Noir and teenage sweat.
Expect many more memory-evoking aromas but we don’t want to give too much away - you’ll have to visit for yourself and allow Francesca Baglione a.k.a Miss High Leg Kick to take you on a journey for the heart - and the nose at Arts by the Sea Festival 2022!
