Hey Juan. Just wanted to say I appreciate the videos. I'm homeless as of this last week, and when the pop up notification for your clip went live, it made me feel like I was still connected to society instead of the super lonely feeling of being outside. Please keep it up. You never know how something simple can impact the people who follow you. Edit: I cannot express how much the support means to me, guys. I'm doing good now. Working as a pest control technician now, am renting, life is going alright. Even back to painting again. Currently working on some Mandalorians.

Painting on the model was fantastic, but I'd imagine painting a whole army to this detail would be an artistic endeavor to say the least. I always find painters who can do the eyes amazing. I've tried a dozen times and just can't seem to get it right, so it's the one thing on most models I avoid.

Anyone else find themselves holding their breath for brush control during the detailing steps? No? Just me? :)
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures4 жыл бұрын
I surely do, makes for a more stable hand
@MrNyerk4 жыл бұрын
I do. I even hold my breath when I watch somebody else painting details 😊 By the way, breathing techniques are crucial for many activities that require fine muscular control. Without going into details, for steadier fingers you want to: take a deep breath (not to deep, don't fill your lungs), release a short puff, hold your breath and do your precision activity for about 30 sec. Release your breath, let your respiration go naturally for 30 seconds, and repeat the process.
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures4 жыл бұрын
I think I do that unconsciously as my job requires extreme precision too and I've developed that over the years
@MrNyerk4 жыл бұрын
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Certainly. One of my relatives is a watchmaker, she never had to learn any breathing technique either, she just naturally does it. That being said, this topic is close to my heart for a specific reason: I'm affected by an essential tremor and without tricks and techniques I learnt, I would have missed a lot of things in my life (mini painting for example). So yeah, I can paint despite my shaking hands and do hope that people affected by this condition could also overcome it and enjoy precision activities too.

Funny, I built this mini the same way, same head, same hair... which it may or may not be too late in regards to gluing... >.>

My initial idea was to keep the whole head and hair as a separate piece but I then realized I wouldn't fit already assembled in between her arms and ripping the hair off the face was too risky, so I had to suffer

Order of the golden ligth but no using metalic colors only contrast paint please😏
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures4 жыл бұрын
Sorry but I think that looks horrible. I see no point of not using Retributor Armour spray and contrast over that. Also I won't do that order, I'm done with Sisters. I would recommend you look at the Eavy Contrast - Stormcast Eternal plus the other sisters videos for a complete set of recipes on how to paint them.

Great vid i was begining to feel like i was losing the will to live using mixes of palid wytch flesh & corax white on my marines faces with me trying to cover up n get rid of blotches with a pin n strech blending matt varnish i kept feeling like using palid wytch flesh i was doing something wrong but watching you take a long time with this colour has started to make me feel better haha
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
With very light colours you have to be patient, they have a lot of white pigment in them and thus they go chalky with ease. Sometimes, going slowly is actually faster.
