@@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures Thanks Dude! Best painting vids on youtube for top level stuff since Latham was removed by the Sheriffs of Nottingham... Cant wait for next video!
@Senor_Elegante3 жыл бұрын
Caro this is ridiculously good. If you can bring this kind of quality to the table your channel will surpass most big ones in no time! Just remember - the KZbin algorithm looooves that sweet regularity, so if a video in this quality takes more than a week to make, you can always put some “quick” fillers explaining how to do a particular technique, breaking down how to face a problematic piece in a mini, explaining classic ‘eavy metal vs their modern style… you know, something that you can output on the regular but doesn’t need a massive commitment
@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
This is great quality feed, thank you so much! Indeed, regularity is my big problem: as you may imagine, painting, filming and editing a video like that requires a huge amount of time, so it's difficult to keep a constant pace, because I can't afford to pause my regular jobb and projects, to dedicate 4-5 daily hours only for my YT channel T__T I thought about shorter videos, maybe focused on single techniques or parts of a mini, but I fear they might not be interesting for the audience, I think that it's important to show a complete miniature, because often to properly judge a paint job, you need to look at the whole composition. I'll try to share also different kind of videos, I have in mind a different approach on big and complex projects that might work with a weekly format!
@Senor_Elegante3 жыл бұрын
@@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures whatever you end up doing I’m sure it’s gonna be amazing dude, regardless of whether it is once a week or once a month. I’m really curious to see how you approach batch painting too!

This is amazing and very informative. I'd like to see your take on full NMM gold model like sanguinery guard
@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
Uh, that would be for sure harder and more interesting! Especially nowadays, NMM has really improved and the ebst painters are really developed it at an almost photo-realistic level. I'm not that good, there is a lot of study and theory to learn, to achieve such results (I think, for example, about painters like Yellow One, or Lan Studio, or Sergio Calvo Rubio), but it would be interesting to try and share with you my attempts ^^
@spamstabber3 жыл бұрын
@@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures Sergio Calvo has the most insane NMM I have ever seen. It's actually incredible.
@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
@@spamstabber I "almost" agree with you (for my personal tastes, I like more Kanaev's approach on NMM, but we are talking about two huge artists), Sergio has really developed a unique style that somehow enhanced the miniature painting art itself. I do like his works!

Fantastic Work! I love the result and the way you work the cape was incredible. Just wondering, how much time did take the entire miniature? you work for a entire day or do different parts each day? Because, those glazings really should take a lot of time!
@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I spent about 4 days of work on this guy, if I calculate the total amount of time required. Unfortunately, not being able to spend the whole day on a mini painted for my YT channel, I had to divide this time in many different days (about 2-3 hours of painting per day). The glazes are not too time-consuming, I painted the whole armour in about 4-5 hours ^^

@DurginPaintForgeMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your kind words and appreciation! This channel has been made just to have fun and share with you some tricks and process in my spare times, and despite what it seems, making a video like these ones is a very time consuming affair T__T Since my daughter was born, my spare time (already thin) almost disappeared, moreover my girlfriend (who managed all the filming-editing parts) is completely absorbed by the little girl (she's quite demanding indeed XD) so we really struggle to find a way to film as we always did (banally, we struggle even to find 20-30 minutes just to start painting and filming!). Actually I'm trying to find out a way to make all the filming part by myself, it's not easy at all especially because I want that in the video you see the closest as possible the painting process, and at the moment the classic overhead set up doesn't properly work for me: to keep a focus on the mini, I have to reduce the zoom, and often I paint 30-40 minutes just to realize that I filmed my head for 30-40 minutes XDXD). This is why I'm struggling to make new videos, I want to take a specific kind of content here, and I'm trying to find a way to do it with this new challenging situation :D
