The way you painted the greys from the front of the base was awesome! You could literally see the base come to life as if a sun was rising and illuminating the surface!

This is the coolest thing I've seen this year. I desperately want to try this for my Leagues of Votann but am painting The Trans-Hyperian Alliance and would need to do a green or blue OSL to get contrast, and have no idea which paints to use. I'll have to play around a while and see if I can figure out a palette.

This video is actually one of the best examples of easy recess shading for mechanical shapes like armor. The secret weapon is indeed contrast medium + regular shade washes or regular paint. It's just magic and literally easy mode.

What's the best way to measure paint when mixing large quantities of paint to make a custom pot? I normally just get a dab of equal paint with my brush and mix it on my pallet but how do I go about doing it in bulk?

In general, at first I try to make the mix color I have in mind on my palette, in small quantity, taking note of the mixing ratio. Once I find the mix that I want, I simply "scale it up" the mix to fill a GW empty pot.

Is the green mix necessary or can a similar effect be achieved with a different colour? Is there any match in Vallejo Model Colour for example?

i usually mix paints with an old brush as i fear getting paint in the ferrule. looks like you don't have this fear at all?

when i attempt to get a small amount of paint on my mini's i have to have very little paint on my paintbrush. when there's very little paint, i find that it dries on my brush almost instantly. is the reason you use L Medium to avoid this?

Uhm, no: Lahmian Medium is useful to help with glazes, because it dilutes the pigment without losing too much covering. If you have problems with color drying, try to add to your paint a drop or two of Vallejo Flow Improver. It is technically a medium for airbrushing, but it works also for this kind of issue :)
