So basically, shadow was the strongest fighter in his verse and no one could beat him, so he went looking for someone who match his strength in battle, when he comes across the gates of shadows. When he opens the gates, it releases 7 demons, who rip shadows body and soul apart thus turning him, into a shadow. Now he ventures the land killing the demons he released and collecting seals he needs to use to close the gates of shadows and return to normal. You missed an entire cutscene which plays everytime you open the game (atleast it does on mobile) which tells you this story. Shadow fight 2 is prolly one of my fav mobile games of all time and it gets cooler and better the farther you get with new mechanisms. I still go back to play sometimes even after all these years. Very happy to see you enjoying it.

Fun fact: the switch version had a very interesting bug at first: basically, every perecentage was treated as 100%, and there was an ability that stated "if you land the first strike within 5 seconds (i think) there is a n% chance you will deal damage equal to X% of the opponent's health". Basically, if you were fast you could one-shot everybody, bosses included. It backfired agains wasp because she could reflect damage, killing you in the process (the same concept applied to her ability)

on the pc version there was a perk that so long as you didn't get hit blocking would prevent all dmg. I made it all the way up to shogun severely under leveled with that 1 perk.

For any weapon with a quick back swing that hits the head, and a down slash on the forward + punch one time instead of twice, you can get super long strings of head hits by using those two moves and spacing well

You unlock ranged weapons after you defeat lynx. Also, try to save some coins before you get to xp level 5. When you reach it , a challenger fighter will appear and if you defeat him you get to keep his weapon, so it's important to have some coins saved up for getting the new armour and maybe helmet before the fight to make it easier. Very cool video !

The weapons you win from duels all come with simple enchantments. In special edition, you cannot enchant weapons (the version he is playing) but in the real version, you can, so If you do in fact lose, you can buy a similar weapon and try your luck enchanting

SF1 is a Facebook web game and SF3 is something like SF2 but the quality is not even close

Thete is Shadow Fight 3, which has 3D graphics, no actual shadows and has much less fluid movement, Shadow Fight 4 where you play pre-determined characters from Shadow Fight 3 and only upgrade and unlock their special abilities and Shades, which is the most grindy by far, has lootboxes, but plays the most like SF2 by far. SF3 has a cool story and a somewhat fun gameplay (until you get to planes, then its pure suffering and grind. SF4 has essentially no story, but a slightly improved gameplay, it's even more loot boxy though. Shades is okay, similar to SF3 in that regard but after beating SF3 I've had enough enough lootboxes for my lifetime. Also I believe they split the canon somehow, as events of SF3 and SF4 play out completely differently to Shades

Allow me to show respect for you picking this game. Shadow fight to me has always been a great mobile game i always thought it was EXTREMELY underappreciated. Shadow fight has STUNNING visuals great music and so much to enjoy while playing it. Its not perfect of course. But i will alwasy appreciate shadow fight for basically keeping me entertained for so many years and i only just recently beat it last year and it really makes me appreciate all the content shadow fight has to offer. From raids (the post game content) to special event raids of course the game again, isnt perfect since there isnt much to do besides raids and replaying old bosses but i deeply thank you speezy. For picking this great game to play a game that is heavily empty in the KZbin department for good videos about it. Much less youtubers. It doesnt really matter to me if no one sees this. I just had to air out my love and appreciation for shadow fight 2 here. I thank you if you have read this far. Also i forgot to mention the story lol its also pretty good as well combined with shadow fight shades which continues it.

Not all of them get weaker. Enchantments that work in percentages (like Lifesteal healing 40% of damage dealt) scales up, although the chance of it occurring does decrease over time. Level 2 enchantments are only ever worth getting if you're going to use the weapon a lot at higher levels

I played it on mobile a few years back. Further as story progresses, it became insane farming just to get gear strong enough to lower difficulty of one fight from impossible to insane, so you can actually stand a chance to beat it. On top of that there was an energy mechanism so you could get like five fights before waiting for energy to recharge. It sucked since combat becomes repetetive after a while and at that time only thing I was interested in was story.

I've been using the kusarigama and composite sword more or less interchangeably, but i might switch to something else since the final boss represents such a massive change in playstyle. actually one of the few gripes i have with the game is how little it prepares you for Titan. it's like for one enemy only you are asked to stop playing shadow fight and to start playing dark souls. it's a really weird decision. none of the other bosses even have command grabs so that part's new as well

@giddycadet is the composite sword the one that acts like a whip as well? If so, I do know it's seriously good against him too, flame clubs are easiest to use for the ones who can't get the sword, mostly because the downward, upward and normal strikes are really fast to use

You need to know a couple of combos to even fight effectively, and they're relatively easy. For Sword, get far enough so you can still hit the enemy with > + P, and when the gap is closed, you do < + K, then wait till you can do it again. The opponent shouldn't block during the combo. Don't spam > + PP

This game takes so long to beat. I have not forgotten it. I played it when it came out and 4 years ago I came back to it. I have been playing it for these past 4 years. At some points in the story the game just goes "all this currency you saved up? We now make it wortless just because. Go make some new money if you wanna progress. Also you start the game over. Beat everyone you already beat again. And again". To beat the game you have to do each area like 3 times

Long-time Shadow Fight 2 player here, a katana user. I love how this game doesn’t dictate your combos to you, but just lets you try the weapons for yourself and think up your own combos from the moves you like. In case you decide to play this more, I’ll note one thing (I’m at 6:41 now so IDK if you notice this later): some attacks have 1 and 2-tap options- the double sweep and your forward attack are two examples. If you hold D-Pad toward opponent and tap 👊 once, you get a basic move, while tapping it twice does the weapon’s “ultimate” move.

I love this game! I tried playing SF4 but I couldn't get into it, the 3D looking fighters were unappealing to me. I played shades and it was fun, until I realized the fights just get too difficult and it takes too much time to upgrade my equipment so I downloaded a mod that gave me infinite money and gems.

This was a pretty ok game IIRC. My favorite weapon was the sai because if you use the lunge attack you usually would hit the head, so you'll crit damage. But, IIRC, you kinda gets punished if you main weapon. Because if you upgrade an "older" weapon repeatedly, the upgrade cost gets higher but it would still get power creeped by the "newer" weapons you'll unlock. Also, if you grab and throw and enemy, do a down attack after. It's a good way to do chip damage, bonus if you hit the head. Never play 3 if you don't like P2W, 4 was pretty good. A real upgrade from 2.
