That is exactly what happened, lol. I worked on this project for close to a year with a two month break to make the Gore/Frogger mod. It was a lot of fun making it, but the scope of the project was constantly expanding and I was getting super burnt out. I probably would have been more motivated to keep working on it if I knew it was going to be so well received! TTC was actually really fast at one point of time, but some things broke after a game update and I couldn't restore it. Same thing with Mario getting dizzy in Hazy Maze Cave gas. There was quite a bit of cut content and left-over code that I might bring back.

​@@401craft6 Lol yeah, there was definitely an idea for a "good" wholesome ending and a second (actual) secret room. There's actually lots of cut content. I still have a concept of a Dorrie boss battle that would have triggered if a player killed Dorrie in HMC and then went to Hell. The project was constantly getting 'squirreled' by these kinds of ideas and was getting a name for being constantly delayed, so eventually I decided to stop adding new things, fixed all the bugs, and released the 1.0 version with the idea of adding more later on.

There's actually a very subtle detail when collecting the 8 red coins in Lethal Lava Land. After the camera switches from the star appearing to Mario, the whole sliding puzzle changes to where the square right in front of you is the next one to move.

As a speedrunner, you should know about the invisible pixel walls everywhere due to ancient programming glitches. The surfaces overlap and create tiny gaps in which the game thinks Mario should bump against because of limitations with physics at this time. I highly guess because there was a ramp that you bumped with the shell hitbox against a tricky invis. glitch. I'm not speedrunning, but the explanation video about all of these surface physics was fascinating enough to let me learn more stuff I will never need again in life.
