I still run multi-quantity sales regularly because to me its a great deal for the customer and moves more inventory for me with a little more $$ in my pocket. But I am convinced that with ebay sticking other sellers promoted items all over your listings that the buyers are eventually directed to another sellers items and probably dont know it. Then they go to check out and do not get the multi-quantity discount (different sellers items in cart). Or they get directed to a similar item with a lower price. Either way, I have a suspicion that it results in just as many lost sales as it does multi-quantity.

I know the other person who said is trolling you but your stuff really is perfect for whatnot. You have social media following, you have very similar items to run all CD, all DVD, all Cassette, all vinyl shows, and they're generally low dollar items that you could likely get the same amount you get on eBay without having to sit on them for so long. The big mistake people make is jumping on whatnot with no built in audience, then there's no buyers and their stuff sells for the lowest amount. It's different but you really do have the ideal whatnot setup.
@secondhandrevival8837Күн бұрын
James, I understand your thought process. However, continuously lowering your prices can ultimately backfire by bottoming yourself out of the market. As someone who also shops on eBay, I never choose the highest-priced item, but I also avoid the lowest-priced ones. Being the lowest price can give the impression that the item is either poor quality or that the seller is desperate. Instead, aim for a competitive middle ground that reflects the value of your item while maintaining buyer confidence.

I don't sell fulltime on ebay only part time cause I resell large ticket items. Sold a book set for 200$. I haven't sold since last summer and my limits are now 5million lists and 5 million dollars idk what I'd even sell to have that much volume. Taxes and fees make this a horrible fulltime job where I live.

I don’t think your hats are overpriced. Remember, no price is truly "overpriced" when you have the "make an offer" option enabled. I suggest leaving the price at $14.99 with the best offer feature and observing how it performs. If a buyer wants the hat, they’ll make an offer based on what they personally value it at. This approach allows flexibility and increases the likelihood of a sale without undervaluing your item.

How are you handling listings when you run into a duplicate listing? Are you adding the quantity to the existing listing to create a multi-quantity listing? If so how are you keeping track of the multiple locations? I sell a lot of cards, amonst a lot of other things, and I have a system established for pulling the next available card based on a title basis with an excel spreadsheet and VB macros to process the orders. This is possible only because I get the data in a CSV and manipulate that data with equations to get the title. I then upload the CSV to start the listings. Just curious on how you are handling your vast selection of media. I have only dabbled in media, but I have about 1,000 waiting for me to get to them.

Don't you think the hats market is totally oversaturated? I have the impression that everyone is selling hats. On the one hand, they are often not comparable and rather individual, but I suppose the typical hat buyer likes to rummage through a shop. And the only way to get him to browse through the shop is probably price. So I would also sell hats by volume rather than price.

As I watched your video and I read the comments everybody's talking about low low dollar stuff being what they want to sell. I don't understand why everybody wants to sell stuff that's worth nothing? Does anybody ever talk about high-dollar stuff, where's the high dollar stuff? As it seems to me it takes the same effort to put a hat in a box as it does a 500 Boat Part, per example, into a box. The effort is the same to put a part that is worth a lot more money in a box and ship it then a hat. So I wonder why people sell low dollar stuff there's a very similar demand or a higher demand for these types of items, as it's something people need to fix their items, instead of a want, like a hat, so if it cost you $2 for the hat and you sell it for 4, the same equation the boat part cost 40 which you sell for 500. Instead of making $2 you make $460 for the same effort the effort is no different the work is the same so why deal in bargain bottom items that make you no money and just spend your life in circles trying to keep up with a thousand items worth two bucks eBay sells expensive items as well as cheap ones and everywhere in between so why not focus on something that makes way more money? With a 1000% reduction in effort? I sold a Lower unit for 2200 yesterday and it cost me $750 you will never get a 1500 profit bone from selling hats. Wouldn't it be nice to make $1,500 in one sale instead of your whole month?
@WellnessWizdomКүн бұрын
People sell what they have access to. Kind of hard to sell $500 boat parts if you can't find them. And who the hell is selling hats for $4.00 that they bought for $2.00? "You will never get $1,500 from selling a hat" You'll also never get scammed out of $1,500 from selling a hat.
@a-perfectcleanwaterdamager6061Күн бұрын
I literally had my daughter pick up a whole boat engine in St Louis actually sorry Jefferson City for $750 wish we will turn into 7,000 there is no risk in getting scammed on a 1500 part ebay has your back you should know that. I sold a $9,000 part last month and didn't get scammed I made a lot of money I only paid $1,000 for the part so there are boatloads of parts right in your backyard so you have absolute access to them instead of always talking about the bins there is nothing worth $1,500 in the bins ever you must shop somewhere else to find those items they are literally all over the country. I saw your average sale price is $9.50 my average sale price is $367.23 I need an office in St Louis maybe you can team up with my daughter she'll provide the product you can list and sell it cuz there ain't no money in hats James❤ when I don't say this as an insult I say this is an informational hey the reason I watch you watch you is because I try and learn something every once in awhile I have taught or learned or found something out through your video but mostly it leaves me shaking my head and you're silly hats maybe that is to attract attention maybe it's working maybe it's not but if you took your business a little more serious meaning making money then you must elevate your stock to a higher value and I have drove all the way to Houston Texas to get stock when you make enough profit it's worth it which I cleared over 22k on that one trip
