This sounds like a pretty good idea. One thing that I'm concerned about is duplicate listings and getting kicked off the marketplace. I often cross post on Ebay and FB.

This could be great for us sellers as long as the fees for this service don't get rediculously high and the seller/buyer protections work the same all the way around. Essentially just a crosslisting service built into eBay. How could that be bad?

I actually think this is an awesome ideal. When I’m searching on Facebook and I’m checking things are for sale most of the time it’s pick up and I’m not gonna travel 100 200 300 miles to pick up the item. Very few of them have shipping and then when you try to ask them about shipping, they charge you outrageous prices or want you to pay it in a weird way to by pass Facebook charges. I’ll be darn if I can understand how Facebook shipping work and I prefer how eBay gives you so many choices.

I sell on fb as well as ebay and other sites. Most of my items are shipped maybe a few are local. I meet at a location that has cameras so there is some sort of evidence.

Great info, subscriber for about a year now. Appreciate the receipts you bring when confusion arrises. Noob seller on the bay. Can you ask your contacts with the platform if there is any chance of the following... if a fb-buyer chooses to check out as guest (higher risk of scams, i.m.o) Can we (sellers) offer an (promo 🤷‍♀️, % off, $ discount) incentive to encourage new buyers to "create" an account & eBay covers the incentive. It's a win, win.. eBay increases their customer base w/buyers encouraging creating an account. & Sellers leery of fb-buyers (guest) checkout can help build the buyer base for platform they are selling on. Long winded sorry, rough putting the idea into comprehendible to everyone else. cheers 🍻

@@X_Rebel_Retro_Perspective I can answer that right now. Won’t happen. There’s no money or sale allowed to be offers to sign up for eBay. They offer it to them anyways. Option 1 sign up for an account. Option 2 guest. That’s the end of the options
