This water pistol might be good enough to wash a bike, but it won't clean a car as the pressure is way too low. These water pumps are also being sold with a brush and that's the one I've got recently. So there's a brush and the water goes into it and the brush has really soft hair on it so it won't scratch the surface(although because of that it takes some time to clean dried bird poo) and it works fairly good, but you have to make sure the water is warm (because that makes dirt soft and therefore easier to wash out) and you also have to use some soap. Anyway this applies here in Russia where they use some aggressive chemicals to melt the snow which are extremely hard to clean off from the car and it might be way easier to wash out a natural dirt.
