I wish I had a store like this in my area. I'd probably replace thrift store sourcing.

I hit the restore every so often. One time they had a box of old 45rpm records that had been donated. I picked up the whole box for $10. It had almost 200 records. Almost all were promo’s and demo’s. It was a nice collection that had been donated. Always worth a look.

Habitat for Humanity is one of my favorite stores in the Atlanta area. Great charitable organization started by President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalind. They help build low income houses but the houses are beautiful.

We have a few of these Habitat for Humanity Restore shops! There great and they don't just have stuff for home building. Everything they sell goes towards buying what's needed to build new homes for folks with not much money! Great program. I have found a bunch of great stuff to flip there. Thanks for the great video.

Interesting store. I was starting to write about leaving all those boxes open when you said you would be going back and closing them all. Thanks for doing that:; it's the right thing, and we don't see that often these days. WOW, that's going to me some serious ROI. Nice job!

My local ReStore has everything...clothing, dishes, anything worth something that gets donated locally. I won't shop there anymore. Nothing has a price. You take everything up to counter and you get sized up. If they think you have money, you are way overcharged.

I have one of these stores about 30 mins from my house. I didn’t used to go there until COVID hit and my eBay sources were limited. I’ve gotten some great things! I just picked up an infrared heat lamp used to remove paint/wallpaper. I sold it for 250 after only a few days. I paid 15!!! Love your videos and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Went into mine recently, walked out with 7 brand new games that were sealed. Although they were on Xbox 360 I got Saints Row, Wet, Transformers The Game, Ace Combat 6, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Just Cause 2, and Prey. They had other brand new games such as Assassin's Creed I II and Revelations, but I already had those. Go to your local Restore. I bought seven brand new games for $.20. Don't get me started on the Mizuno club I found in the golf section!

Nice finds.... but thing with those is sometimes if like a gasket or tube or anything like that is missing ( thats isn't obvious at first glance) it's not worth it because they are custom and often cost close to or more than the faucet to replace, if you can even find it, since its proprietary....

My local ReStore is a combination of thrift store and home maintenance store. They have a section of books, records, video games, knickknacks, etc., but they have downsized it and are becoming more picky about what they will accept for donations there. There is a large section of used furniture and a small section of used appliances. A large portion of the store is taken up by cabinets, flooring, rugs, etc. They do not sell electronics at all. I personally haven't found it to be a good source to find stuff to resell, but given Matt's experiences, maybe I'll have to try again.

ReStore's tend to vary a lot. First one I visited many years ago (Milwaukee) was mostly furniture. I've visited three completely different ones since moving to Florida. Ocala had one split about 1/3 thrift and 2/3 home improvement. In Gainesville, 3/4 thrift with home improvement in the back. But in Jacksonville there's one that's in, IIRC, an old K-Mart, and it has everything, from home improvement, to light construction, furniture and healthy thrift stuff too. None stock clothes though. I asked in Gainesville once and they said they stocked it for a while but had to do all their own cleaning and abandoned it pretty quickly.

Yo Matt, I've been watching for awhile thanks for all the useful information and being a real stand-up person. if your kids keep using your phone to much for games or whatever try to find/buy an old phone that they can use just for games. Then setup a hotspot on your phone so they have internet when you are out and about. Obviously this only makes sense if you have unlimited data, but I use to do this all the time to preserve my main phone's battery. You could also get a Freedompop SIM card that allows ~175MB of data free a month, which is perfect for pokemon go or games that use little to no data unless there is an update.

Hey Matt... dont know how far out you live from there but they had a bunch of bottles of Spa / Jacuzzi Chemicals by Leisure Time (gray bottles with red and yellow caps). Not sure how much they were asking but those have been incredibly hard to find on Amazon and other Websites being on back order. Just for an example... the Spa 56 currently is selling for $18-$20 plus shipping on ebay and it's not even liquid (granulated). If you remember the prices, it may be worth heading back up there.

I sell on Ebay myself. I own my own construction business. I do tax sale property clean out and Sheriff sale clean outs. Pure profit from the items plus I get paid to do the clean out. The only thing I dislike about You Tube videos for Ebay is. The Ebay sellers never go into detail about how long their items must sit before they sell them. And also the amount of stuff they buy that never sells. Its always win win on the You Tube videos. I guess making videos only of the possible glory of what could possibly sell on Ebay brings followers to a Ebay based video.

Habitat ReStores can be very good. I bought a large collection of ERTL John Deere tractors at a store. Cost $375.00 and returned well over $2K. The store manager said someone donated the collection that had purchased a storage locker. I guess they didn't see the value or didn't want to mess with selling them. Or, they were really kind hearted and just donated them for the cause. Now, I'm always on the look out for these (like I'm going to find that same deal again). Great videos, thanks for sharing.

That was good the one I went in was more. Used stuff ! But if it is all there and nice it maybe ok. My friend got a sink for their bathroom that was complete and nice. Lots less on price too! I got a small dink and cabinet for free That was like new on a trash day. I did not feel bad getting it either! It was almost like new and worked great! It fit perfect I. Our small bathroom too. Some one took our old one before trash went too. It was nice just too big for our bathroom. But it was I. The house when we bought it. I loved that house just hated the location of it! I wish our house now was smaller and only one floor. We will have to down size soon

Restores aren't necessarily just restoring house stores, I believe it stands for Reuse Store. Typically it is household items but I bought a bunch of $800 lateral filing cabinets that came out of a doctors office for $20 each. I appreciate the videos and showing people how to sell on Ebay but it's getting so competitive to the point where people who actually need to buy this stuff because they can't afford retail store prices can't because it's all bought by flippers. Also don't listen to people who tell you to swap or take parts from other boxes, all items are priced accordingly because they are missing parts so when you start doing that it can be seen as stealing.
