👍Great information. Especially for new resellers. A lot of people probably don’t realize all the free priority mail sizes they can get from the usps website store. Most probably only think what is available is what is at the post offices. New sellers may not know there are still packaging available that is not flat shipping.

Fun to hear another resellers shipping methods - there are so many ways to get the job done. Bravo to you for putting the weight in when you list -- I've encouraged so many of my friends coming over from Poshmark to do this, and they struggle to fit it into the process until they ship. I just say.... move your scale LOL I would encourage you to consider adding calculated parcel select ground to your items over 1 pound, in addition to priority option. Since I did that, 99.9% of my buyers choose the slower cheaper method. Many of my heavy sweaters and coats ship for under $10, depending on distance. I am in Michigan, so don't have any of those "coast to coast" sales, but my sales have gone up measurably in the "heavy stuff" category since I added the option. Unfortunately there is no seller discount on Parcel Select - you pay just what the buyer pays. But you never lose money LOL! I only. mention all this because some ebay sellers don't realize you can have multiple shipping options on the same listing and the buyer can choose speed or price. It sounds like you would hate flat rate. But I'd explore more with your friend. She can explain policies too. You can start slowly with just the padded mailer. I think there's a strong argument to be made to give your customer your shipping cost. Or better. You have to look at big picture and feel comfortable of course. Im guessing you dont do free returns? But this video was great! It will help new sellers to get started. Advanced resell strategies are just that. Advanced. That's where most youtubers focus. They forgot what it was like to learn.

I have been putting it on calculated because I just can’t understand how to figure it or what I’d the box is bigger when it sells? Not sure how to do the priority either. I'm a new seller and I sell things that have model numbers. Ebay pre-fills out the size of box I should use. When I change the box measurement because the item can fit fine in a smaller box, and I finish the posting process, Ebay will say it is live but my item will not show up in a search. When I go back in and revise the box measurement to their recommendation, the item will then show up in a search. This has happened every time I try to use my own measurement. What is this weirdness?

Are you saying that shipping priority Mail in a padded UPOS envelope is cheaper than shipping in the legal size in padded envelope?

I only use the USPS padded flat rate envelope. I use them if the item is over a pound because typically it’s cheaper depending on location. Are you talking about a legal size padded envelope that’s not priority? If it’s over a pound I rarely use anything but priority mail.

Hi! So sorry I missed your comment. eBay it can be buyer or seller, whatever the seller wants or however the seller sets it up. I put in the weight of the item so the exact amount is charged to the buyer. Hope this helps!

This is the reason why i now refuse to buy anything from eBay. In pre 2000's i loved it. Alibaba and AliExpress has free shipping. Amazon is not too bad. Here in New Zealand its mostly mainly from China..

Hmmm. I’m not sure. 🤔 It’s there for me. You may have to adjust the size/measurements. But it is definitely a choice because I use it often.
