ZP 450 Zebra thermal postage printer overview

This works well on a Mac too! I use it on a mac with Endicia. You don't need to download anything or even open up the main system printer preferences. Just plug it in and endicia should find it. The labels are thermal, not thermal transfer. So just buy the rolls of thermal.

You have the peeler/dispenser on this printer which you're not using, this feature automatically peels the labels as they print. Peel off the last label from the roll, pull open the front peeler and pass the backing only part behind it and snap it closed, then set the printer setting to Peel Off mode. Makes it easier to apply the labels.

Mine will not work with FedEx or USPS for some reason. I've tried many different things, including saving as a pdf first. An error message always appears.

Thank you for the video, i didn't know that it also works with feeding labels, i thought it only goes with the rolls, anyways you forgot to mention that the labels can be ordered from UPS for free, if it is used for UPS shipments, as well as the barcode labels that also works with that zebra.

the UPS labels come in a similar huge roll.. 4x6

+Alex Lee the roll of 940 is a jumbo roll, so you can't fit it directly into the thermal label printer. However, as you saw in the overview video you can feed the labels through the ZP450 printer/similar printers via the back and it spits out a label or 2 through the front using the huge roll of labels.

I had a DYMO 4XL label printer and it needed to be calibrated to proper size as standard printing using the ZEBRA ZP450 setting on ebay would print too high up and to the right, does this printer have this problem? also the 4xl would shoot out countless blank labels while in the middle of printing a good one, does the zp450 have this problem?

ebayhbs Is yours the new model for the Zebra ZP450? I received mine and it looks different when you opened it up. The media guides (arms) in the middle when you look inside are positioned in the middle vs being on the outside.

I saw you had a Mac keyboard. Are you using this on a Mac? I had an old Zebra that I was able to get it to print through ebay but it took a ton of messing around with due to java problems. I don't want to run indicia. I don't know if they ever sorted out the Mac problems.

+Daniel Reichard It's a direct thermal label printer, no ink or toner necessary. It uses heat to print labels which helps to save money on ink and toner with other printers. There's also similar printers like the ZP 450 that are thermal label printers as well.

I have recently purchased a ZP450 and have not been able to print FedEx labels with it. I contacted Zebra and they told me I was sold the wrong printer and needed the ZP500. Do you print FedEx labels with your ZP450? If so did you have to change any settings from defaults? Thanks.

+Associates Plymco you can print anything with it. Install the driver for their other model

I know I'm late to respond to your comment but I would just like to add my two cents to anyone who may be curious. I have printed fedex labels with this printer and it does work although the barcode at the bottom gets cut off slightly but the shipping labels are still usable.

Yes. It takes anything up to 4" wide. The two side holders for the paper rolls are on springs and auto slides in to adjust.

The unit in the video doesn't have an adjustable arm, so only a 4 inch label will fit. If you need a smaller label, get a ZP450 unit with an adjustable arm. I would also buy a external label holder if you are planning on using a larger roll of labels. www.ebay.com/itm/192323332539

I sell these units and they are great. It comes with this printer, but our has an adjustable arm allowing 4 inches or smaller with the label size. We also include an external label holder to hold the 1000 size label holder. The review is good, but I do not like of he put a roll of labels behind the the unit. It needs to be done right. Biggest piece of crap I ever owned. Put in 4×6 and it prints 2×3 no matter what I do. Guess it will work as a boat anchor. 💩
