I like the training on steep incline using climbing harness. I don’t see many adjusters using climbing harness. As a Damage consultant I to use a climbing harness for safety and ease of traversing a steep roof where I cannot use my drone.

There's a tradeoff between safety and speed, unfortunately. A lot of adjusters will forego the rope and harness gear because it takes some time to set up.

Adjuster TV it sad that carriers only give new claims to IA’s who nail combination of Speed plus Quality. Doesn’t leave any room for safety. Few years ago I talk to SF adjuster said one of there adjusters not tied off fell off the roof and died. Know one knew he fell off the roof until few hours later.

@@insuranceclaimspractitione2290 It's the nature of the business. I know several adjusters who have fallen off of roofs they shouldn't have been climbing without fall protection - they get seriously injured and are out for the season (at a minimum). Even a twisted ankle will keep a guy from working. So you're right, it's dangerous work and there's an incentive to be fast. The rub is that the claims would never get closed if they only went to adjusters who used rope and harness on every roof. Using something like a Goat, Steepgear pants, gloves, and Cougar Paws can go a long way to providing some basic fall protection. Most of the adjusters I know who've fallen off roofs, SLID down slopes before they ended up in the bushes. Having stuff to hold on to and stuff that will stop a slide like the steepgear shorts will definitely help. But even if a person is fully roped in, there's still no guarantee of complete safety - if an adjuster slides off a roof roped in and is hanging there 20 feet off the ground, they are still in serious risk for severe injury or even death if they can't keep circulation going to their legs. Climbing roofs is inherently very dangerous no matter what.

Eberl trains new adjusters on their roster. So when you get on their roster, they'll work with you to figure out a training track. It's not offered as just training for anybody. Make sense?
