*Definitely big battery=Range anxiety solved! For the money this is a really good deal, This is a really good bike for beginners and avid riders my opinion, I’ve got aprox 4500 miles on my bike (not this bike) so I believe I know a little bit about things, you can always get another set of better forks if it bothers you, I believe you can put bigger springs in them, most bike seats aren’t good, again just get a really comfortable seat, brakes you can adjust or just buy a hydraulic set less than $100, these are things your probably going to change on most any ebike from my experience, in this price range your getting a very nice head start for this price point, most ebikes you can go into settings and turn speed limit off and change settings. Hope this helps and I don’t get paid to write this, l’m just trying to give a little insight*

I ride a Sun EZ-Tandem with a 1Kw front hub motor and 2 48v/20Ah batteries (in parallel). The rig weighs in at 125 LBS and will drag my ass about 50-60 miles, throttle only. Those 2 batteries are in rear loading rear rack configuration, and weigh about 15 LBS each. I'd love to hear how they shoved 60Ah into 20 LBS of battery.

Most people don't need it, but I personally am looking for this sort of range. I live about 90 miles from my mother, with about 1000 ft of elevation total, and of course having some range left when I get there would make me feel better as the battery ages and just to get things done. I am glad this exists, I can't wait to see when batteries get lighter, and perhaps the bikes too.

I have had this bike for 4 months. Motor went bad after 49 miles. Found out many had the same motor problem. Aniioki sent a new motor and so far so good (Doubt it will last long). The range is 70 to 80 miles for me no pedaling without pushing the battery to low. There are a number of issues with this bike. Be sure to check all the screws to make sure they are tight. Check the rear brake. My rear brake and my friend's (He has the same bike) had spacers that had only 1/3 of the pads engaging the rotor (Dangerous).

I bought my mom a lectric xp 3.0, Talk about buyers remorse, omg this 3.0 has been the worst purchase over a 1000$ on anything I ever bought in my life, I had a 500$ swagtron eb5 pro, that was faster, better range, I got low range model, but I've had to replace the wire harness, replaced the controller, now I got replace the recalled brakes, got replace the recalled front rim, I had do all this work on my own, iam devastated, I feel like I got robbed, and lectric will only replace each piece as it breaks, the bike was shutting off completely every time I hit a bump, It wouldn't go over 15 mph, I thought it was fixed with new harness, but it just shut off for no reason other day, the brakes are the worst junk I've ever seen, the front cable or something snapped yesterday, rendering the front brake totally broken, glad my mom wasn't on it, now I got replace the brakes with hydraulic that lectric sent me after months long wait, I got more time working on bike than riding it, Now got replace front rim bearings are defective, recalled, It only gets 12 miles range if iam lucky, I want sell it but would not feel comfortable selling it and have someone come back mad at me, I asked lectric send me new bike they refused, the lady actually had nerve telling me I should expect to have to put some work into something that's electrical, I've replace almost whole bike and still have issues with it shutting off for no reason, it is very slow, slower than my old 350 watt swagtron eb5 pro, I just can't believe lectric put out such a piece off junk, I feel like I got robbed!! Definitely stay away from them!!!

I had that with my Ecotric. If I stayed mostly pas 4 17.5-19 mph I can go 26-30 miles that’s with pedaling but not much effort. That wasn’t enough for me so I added a 20 AH rear rack type battery. That gives me 45-53 miles. So I made my entry level 36v 26” fat tire bike into a long range now. No fancy electronics , just an on off on toggle to go from one bat to another.

Well I'm surprised and at that price it would do very well in the UK. It's a real game changer bike, it means no more running out of battery when you need to go on longer trips, it's not only a city bike it's a country side bike. Unfortunately such bikes in the UK would be classed as mopeds which means they probably wouldn't be able to sell them at that price in the UK and would have to under go a lot more testing which costs a lot more money which in turn would mean they would end up costing a lot more money to the consumer. So though it's a great bike the laws in the UK would be prohibitive. And there you have folks there are great cheap bikes with lots of power and range, but govt keeps them on the banned lists. So much for UK govt wanting us to go low carbon.

Not an overkill at all. Those 11Ah, 15Ah, 20Ah are toys. This 60Ah is finally something useful. When I ride within my town I can go with simple "muscle" bike, don't even need an electric. I need an electric to regularly visit my sister in the next town, some 40 miles away. And I need enough juice to get back home in the afternoon. So, the 48V 60Ah is Just Right.

My biggest concerns would be tires, brakes, battery. I wouldn't do a range test without being confident in how I'd come back if it doesn't get me all the way back. A flat tire would be worse to deal with, since I cannot pedal with that. Are there high puncture / low roll resistant tires for this?
@DavidCharles-wi4qr10 ай бұрын
Needed out the box mods for me doing mostly street riding with some groomed dirt paths: 1). Install street tires for a smoother ride, less roll resistance, and even more miles. 2). Rear view mirrors. 3). Bigger rotors 4). Make a small easy removable clear chest windscreen for road protection and even less resistance. (Product Idea that does not exist- anyone?)

I have the 52v version I am 200 lbs. If you buy this bike you MUST MUST MUST change out the front sprocket to a 58T. It makes the bike 10x better. Costs about $75 with the new chain and crank (you will need a $20 tool to remove the crank). With the 58t sprocket you can pedal comfortably all the way up to about 27mph. Only the last 3mph will be too fast to pedal. This bike is very comfy to pedal and you will WANT to when you ride it. The way it comes stock is with a too small 48T front sprocket. Stock, you cannot pedal fast enough to assist beyond about 20mph. I have 375mi on the bike in 3 months. I give it a 4.8/5 review. Had issues with the headlight aimed too high and coming loose, but I glued the screws and bent the mount down, added rubber bands to dampen the vibrations, and now it's good to go. I get 30mph at full charge, at 50% charge top speed is 26mph. My range is about 75mi no pedaling and about 100-110 with light pedal assisting. The bike tire wears out fast- you will only get 400-500 miles out of it if you are lucky. Overall great buy for under $2,000. It has completely replaced my car for everything except driving to work. Oh and the rack is a must buy too!

This bike is actually very efficient despite its weight. I've ridden an electric scooter from full to empty that's 72v 35ah, so that's 2520Wh, about 87.5% the capacity of this bike, their curb weights are nearly identical. I got 86.3km, so around 54 miles. So getting 100 miles on this bike is very impressive. I think it could be that this bike is relatively lower powered, and the rider was going slow, and I'm probably heavier than the rider too. Never the less, it's a really nice and efficient machine.

my local trail including a run all the way up to sandy hook is about 80 miles round trip but the beefed up suspension would be a must with all the ruts on the trail. i still think my butt would give out before the battery but it would be interesting to try!
@Altema22 Жыл бұрын
For that price, I would expect to be buying a battery with the bike as a bonus! Is it overkill? Depends on your needs. I did a group ride with gas mopeds, and the requirement was "at least 30mph for at lest 60 miles", and this would have been great for that, if it has the speed. What I usually find though, is the extra weight is a burden. I use the modular approach and have 5 batteries of varying weight and capacity, and although I can run with four batteries at the same time (73.3Ah!), the weight just makes it feel like a pig. When I did the ride mentioned above, I used 3 batteries to keep weight down, and the 53.3Ah was enough for the whole trip. For slow group rides though, I'll use a single 20Ah battery for the 15 mile trip, and finish with it at 98%.

I own one, can't recommend. Maybe I got a lemon, but I didn't get the distance. Motor is making weird noises. Warning motor needs to be checked and greased right out of the box, maybe why weird noises now since I didn't check right out of box and just rode it 100mile. Tires multiple flats right away until I upgraded tires (rides way better with new tires). Rear tire major pain to get off, chain and brake need to be removed to get off tire. Cruise control nice, but flakey, sometimes 1min before engaging, few times engaged after a little boost in parking lot and had to hit brake quickly. 26amp draw full power. lvl 3 pulls about 12amp at 19mph, best speed for distance/time in my opinion. At 300 miles now, will ride till it dies and get something better. Does ride nice though, but front shocks are crap.

The bike is not going to win any beauty contest. But the price is good, the weight rating is good enough for a decent cargo bike I would think. But with what they are rating the distance at, I could commute a140 miles to work an 8 hour job and should be able to commute back to where I live which would take me around 2hrs to drive at 75mph. I would say for a normal commute, or to run to town to get grocery's with a trailer behind the bike it would still be a bit over kill as that would be a 10 mile round trip for me. If I was to use it for my part time delivery job, then I would say it would probably be about right for a bike and trailer combo. As I can cover a hundred miles a day, just delivering food to people with my part time job. And that bike would let me do that with no problems, so yeah I would say it is just right.

Hey!! Love your vids and when they pop up, I'm all over them. I have a somewhat serious question. I have almost 900 miles on my Aniioki A8 and another 1850 miles on my Wallke H6 first. I've ridden motorcycles all my life so road conditions were always in consideration. But here's the question; Are 20"x4" wheels considerably less safe than say, a 26"x4" ??? Twice now, I've hit small 'obstacles' on roads, at slow speeds and have gotten body slammed to the surface on the 20" ebikes. (never had such a thing happen on my dirt bike or street bikes). Two days ago, it was on pavement. The situation in both falls, both bikes, was that; 1) there was a 4" high piece of macadam left in the street by a road crew and 2) was a speed bump leaving a parking area. In both situations I hit the obstacle with my wheel turned to make a left turn, as I hit. Sun glare was the culprit the other day. But I'm wondering if a 26" tire would have negotiated the obstacles better. I'm 73 years old and do have some nasty bruises after the slam the other day, but got up from the fall happy nothing was broken and knowing that if I'm going to continue riding these situations will continue to exist. But would I be better off on a 26" bike? Thanks for reading. I chose you to ask because you're the best at analyzing.... Have a great day! It's a beauty here in Easton, PA.

Does the hub motor without a torque sensor lose speed on a long 15 mi 4000 ft climb? How is the battery range lowered by such a climb. I am very interested in the Freedom or cruiser step thru version. But have never seen any video or review showing such long steep climbs. Everything I find is about max speed 40mph on flats or short 1 mi climbs.

Ideally, now I can use my truck's turbo V6-hybrid to get somewhere in the vicinity of 650 miles on a tank, plus the added range with this e-bike, well beyond the reach of 4 wheeled vehicles. I can also charge the battery with the truck's 7.2kw onboard generator while driving or sitting, making my setup a fantastic overlanding system to get well within reach of the most remote camping and backpacking locations. Hoping the 52v/60 is as kickass as it appears and has the endurance to continue performing beyond both the 1 year mgf warranty and the extended 2yr option available on Amazon at the time of purchase. I will say overall if you're looking for that style if Ebike its pretty sweet for the price and uf you can not difficult to upgrade frt suspension, maybe the brakes and I'd see if swappingvtge z Display for one brighter though that could be a Stretch.

I watch most of your videos little brother but I don't know much about your health. Will a full recovery be coming soon?😢

Recovery is very slow, what and when are both unknown.

Cool ride! I now have 64 amp hours of battery, for my full suspension Lancer. And I’m gonna do 100 mile trip with no throttle and only peddling and using the different pedal assist. But there’s only 350 feet of elevation in this whole trip. So I should make it pretty easy.

25 wh/mile or so; not bad considering the conditions.

This bike meets all my needs (exceeds some of them), but lacks in one area. I need a 400lb payload for it to be used to buy food/water while RVing and making town runs. They put many nice touches in this bike. The range is awesome. I would want to see 100lbs rear payload using saddlebags and top.

Sounds like it is priced very well for what you get

Actually the one that is on sale for that price is a 45 amp hour battery not the 60

I wish I could get a battery like this for my Juiced RipRacer,...

all sounds great but where do you get it serviced, where you get parts etc

Dang! The battery is worth $1,200 to my calculations. Now if it had a 28 ish amp controller and peak watts of say 1,400 or so, get torque up to 95 Nm, that would be a nice 30 mph long range bike.

Seems like a winner! I love the range and the power! 20" wheels perfect of seniors such as myself.

Great video guys. That is amazing mileage for the cost of the bike. Would make a great commuter or delivery bike for intown riding. Hydraulic brake & rotor upgrade should be first priority.

I live somewhat close to the Area 13 shop (Sacramento) and would definitely make the drive up if my ebikes have any issues. I just purchased the AQ177, and I was wondering what your shop's opinion is on the huge battery safety wise, since it apparently isn't UL certified?

i am looking at a 30 minute commute at 55 mph. would love an ebike able to go for a few hours at road speed i wouldnt need to buy a 15k motorcycle then

That's a pretty hairy ride around Lake Tahoe to be testing an e-bike on. There is no bike lane on the east side to speak of and traffic flies along the one lane each way parts. Then you hit the residential on the Westside and everybody wants to pull out in front of you. Live up that area and I used to ride my motorcycle around the lake every now and then and I would not do it on an e-bike, any bicycle for that matter. The chances of someone hitting you from behind are pretty high on a bicycle. If you're going to do it, do it in the morning, during the week and especially not during the tourist summer months. LOL. You could do it during the middle of the night but then you might centerpunch a bear.

AQ177 Pro Max is a great ebike but be aware about it's frame material. The frame is high tensile steel. The cheapest steel one can build a bike frame out of but this is understandable to keep the price down. My AQ177 Pro Max came with rust inside the frame. It appears the inside of the frame has no rust protection. Remove the rear fender and shine some light below the integrated rear rack you will probably see rust down there. Remove the seatpost and shine some light down there and you will probably see some rust down there. Remove the battery and you will probably see some rust on the side. It's not rusting on the outside because of the coating paint. So be aware of areas not painted are susceptible to rust. This bike would be awesome if the frame were to be made of 4130 Steel or Aluminum Alloy because the bike will be especially lighter weight and rust resistant, I'm willing pay for the extra option or buy a replacement frame of aforementioned material.

The real life 100-mile battery/bike is perfect. I'd rather it be a 52v or 60v, but 100 miles without pedaling it great no matter the voltage.
@nicod974 Жыл бұрын
60v for the win

they make a 52v version with 60ah for another 300 bucks.

It's nice to have the extra range I have two 17.5 ah batteries for my sondors mxs usually I don't need that much but I have a burley trailer I hook up and I put the extra battery in there Incase I run out of juice I would like to go all the way around lake Tahoe but I don't think I could make it around even with two batteries with out stopping to charge
