One thing I found with the Suntour that you didn't cover is that the angle of the seat plays a major role in how the suspension reacts. I find that the angle of seat determines where your weight is placed when pedaling. Tilted up well at the front is best for me, and that arrangement is where I can feel the back and forth movement the most. I am going to buy a comfort seat with less nose to see if that works even better. Currently I have the Velo Plush I didn't know how much the Suntour was helping until I took the Suntour off to see where the creaking was coming from and rode without the suspension post for a test. Then I noticed how hard the ride was compared to what I had become accustomed to. It was very curious. After several goings over, I believe the creaking came from the seat itself being worked more than usual and getting loosened up just a touch. I finally got rid of the creaking after slight adjustment and then hard tightening down of the seat, so I imagine that was the problem. None of the other things I did including cleaning and greasing everything, even washing the little cover for the Suntour, nothing got rid of the creaking until I re-fixed the seat clamp itself. I had even removed the rubber coverings on the seat springs to clean in there. Still, I'm not 100% sure, because I'm relying on "after this, came that" reasoning.

The most important interface between a rider and the bike is the saddle. It's not a seat. It's a saddle, and should be emphasized as such. There is a reason there are sooo many different saddles out there. The main reason is that the vast majority of them hurt like hell after a few miles or more. You seatpost won't help that much for most people who are having discomfort because they have a saddle that doesn't work for them. My question is: Why haven't more people tried Brooks saddles? There's one for just about everyone and every type of riding. Touring riders use a lot of them for good reasons: They work, by conforming to the rider's individual shape, they wick away moisture that is the main cause of hot spots and soreness, they last for many years. Most of these Ebikes are just modified "comfort cruisers" , not meant for long rides, but rather, for frequent shorter rides. I recommend the Brooks B-67, a perfect saddle that has shock absorbing coil springs and a full width support geometry for the semi-upright posture that these bike are designed for. By the time some one goes through several failed vinyl saddles and then buys a suspension seatpost, they will have far exceeded the cost of a Brooks B-67. No. I'm not a schill for Brooks, but I have a crate full of failed plastic, carbon, vinyl "seats" that were supposed to be the Thing. A couple or more "suspension" seatposts, too. Maybe I should use them all for yard art.

Sorry if not on topic Butt (play on words to honor the current subject matter) my curiosity is engine size. My Swagtron EB 5 pro plus weighs around 37 lbs and I'm a heavier rider at about 5'8". I keep reading how a 250 Watt motor doesn't have they power to get me up hills. However my neighborhood/town has its fair share of hills some long and for the most part gradual for the a fair distance then coming to its peak a far more sharp area per climb for a relatively short distance. Then there are the just steal but not all that long hills. The thing being one of those short but steal hills my bike tackled when contemptuous ease no pedal assist just throttle. So what is your verdict on a 250 watts motor performance with hills? Larger being better a given.

When I rode it around it was completely cmpressed nearly all the time, only lifting occasionally when I rode over a big bump. Don't buy one if you are over 90 kg in weight because it doesn't work.
