I see the usefulness of 2 motors when the trike weighs over 180 lbs. And i weigh 265. Thats a lot of strain on the motor and battery. 2 motors is the way to go to make the bike last. Looking forward to getting mine delivered. You sold me Richard. Good job and thank you.

How stable is it on a side slope? Trikes tend to tip over.
@EbikeReviews

Trikes do often tip over. Prior to this one, The Mooncool TK1 was the most stable I have tested. But this one far exceeds that. Its very stable. I am making a video in a day or two that will show the stability.

I've owned 4 motor scooters over the years. I'm no mechanic but there were motorcycle shops I could take them to for maintenance and repairs. That's what keeps me from pulling the trigger on a trike like this. It looks like the perfect car replacement but who do you go to for repairs if needed? Does it come completely assembled like some brands? I know there's a Rad dealer in the Tampa area that I could take their trike to but after seeing this one I really don't want another brand unless someone comes out with something very comparable. I supposed an extreme maneuver could cause it to tip but it seems they've solved the trike tipping issue. Have watched enough videos of trikes tipping on just basic turns to know this trike is worth every penny in that regard. After watching your crash video the other day it looks like two front wheels isn't the answer either. To have this stability and smoothness means a lot.

REI here in Sarasota will work on all brands and there's a new company in the area that works on all brands. If it were me, I would just see if I could find a backyard mechanic to take a look. They are not difficult to maintain. As for tipping, its heavier than most trikes, plus you sit lower to that helps prevent tipping. I am doing a video soon to show how stable it is. Two front wheels are not the answer. But this one, could be. Just pricy. I am allowing people to come test ride it that are interested in buying it. Just reach out to the company and they will schedule it with me.

Rich, do you find it that you need to tilt over your body as you make a turn?
@EbikeReviews
@EbikeReviews 21 күн бұрын
No. Its heavier so it remains grounded well. I find myself leaning a little just because of gravity as I turn. But you don't need to lean to keep it from tipping.

Thanks for asking, no. So far they wont provide one. Probably because its so new. But hey, if you haven't see it, they now have a Tour Lite that is cheaper. It looks like only one motor and one battery but everything else seems to be the same. So if you don't need two motors or an extra battery you can save a lot.

Yes I love this Trike but its $$$ and too big. Its more like a motorcycle than a Trike. Anyway - is the Mooncool TK PRO off your radar now? And, will Mooncool fix the chain tensioner issue you pointed out? This issue with the TK PRO is a deal breaker and why I am not buying it until they fix the problem. As always, thanks for your uber honest non-bias reviews. Your recommendations count 100%

Mooncool told me last night they are making a repair kit that will be sent out in a week or two that is supposed to fix it. But, I am not sure what the fix is. If they can get it fixed, the TK Pro is also an amazing trike for the money spent.

Do you have a MEET ONE BREEZE in the works?
@EbikeReviews
@EbikeReviews 20 күн бұрын
Yes/No. They offered it first but I turned them down. Its a steel frame and looked a little funny so I wasn't interested. Then they launched this one. WOW. So after consulting with them I believe they have decided to start making the Breeze in Aluminum. I suspect they will send me one of those when they get them built.

@EbikeReviews I, too, balked at steel but Pre-ordered anyway... remembering my 1980s Huffy beast that lasted well into the 2010s. Serious Dayton Iron. Maybe the near 140# helps glue it to the ground? Happy Holidays Amigo. Cheers! 🥂

Second motor on front wheel seems to be an overkill. Really no purpose or advantage.
@EbikeReviews
@EbikeReviews 20 күн бұрын
Sure it does. Gives you more traction if your off road and twice the power for taking on large hills. Its a 183lb trike.

Dual hubs/motors have a advantage. But they also have a disadvantage. The pro is you get better grip of all wheel turn on and off road. So you can haul heavier with less stress on one motor system. The largest disadvantage though. Is single motor control as most companies do sadly which is really poor in thought. One is both motors are linked and if you want more rear push. Putting to much throttle causes the front hub to fly spin IE tire burn since the fronts normally have less weight on them. The other. Is front hubs have bit harder time turning due to the larger front weight of the hub so it feels 'stiffer' and with power to the motor causes forced turn. Which means you'll end up flying harder into a turn when throttling at times. And since most are single throttles. Having to slow the front also halts alot of the power to the rear that helps push you ahead. This also is quite a pain in off-roading if you're at a stop. Because the front has less weight. The hub in the front will want to spin faster then the rear hub would when providing power. So you gotta watch how much power you put. But if you don't put enough for the rear then. You loose the ability to kick off. The other downside to also having a Front hub on 'Standard' bikes (Not trikes/Tricycles). Is fact the extra front weight causes unbalanced weight to the bike. Which also makes reason why the front wheel feels heavier. Though there is a 'fix' but most will hate doing this. You need to put extra weight into the rear of the bike to counterbalance the bike. Sure overall it'll cause the whole bike to weigh MORE. But it'll counter balance the odd front weight feeling of the bike's front hub by a ton and allow it to feel more normal. I had some extra cargo i put in my bags to counter the front hub. So even though the overall bike does make it weigh heavier. The whole things feels less odd feeling for the weight being shifted to the front with the front hub. On other hand. My setup i had for my Hyper E-Ride. I have dual hubs (Later will be made for mid-drive conversion and front hub.) with dual batteries. But i also have independent dual throttle controls. This allows me to control each motor with different speed inputs. Allowing me to put less speed for front and more for rear if needed. And in turns i can slow the front down and allow the rear to push me into the turn, rather then get sucked into it by the front hubs power. Similar to off-roading. I can control how much front hub spin goes and how much rear is given to allow me to not dig myself into a pothole to kick off. Another failure that lot of companies keep doing. Is these crappy top thumb shifters and standard twist throttles. They need to make their own throttle handle designs so they can allow standardized under side index shifters to work with them. It was a hard push for me to find similar for my Hyper E-Ride to find a throttle handle for my right hand. Because all have a large lip on the left of the twist or even on some thumb throttles. This blocks normal shifters like index or even twist shifters from even getting put on together. I finally found one that fits as a push style thumb throttle that is super narrow and thin enough to not interfere with my under thumb index shifter on my right hand grab. My left uses a quad style throttle system since i don't have a 3by6 gear. I don't have a gear shifter on my left side. But now it allows my bike to have dual throttles and maximum control for both motors.

Huge waste of power to only do 20 miles an hour with two Motors. They could have accomplished that with one motor with reduction of weight
