EBL Intellicharger PD4 for flashlight batteries

For the price, I get this option. I just use a single slot slim charger from Fenix that also acts as a power bank if I'm charging via low watt USB. ARE-X1 I think... If I'm charging multiple, I go with a wall plug in option like the Nitecore. This is nice for the price and being able to just put some batteries in there and forget about it...

Got this in december and I'm pleased with it, but now I seen an Myboxer C4 which is about 10 euros more expensive, still can return the EBL, kinda in between returning it and keeping it

Does it require QC3 to charge at 2A total, or can it also take the more standard and widely available USB-C PD?

It works on PD as well as other standards like Apple 2.4A USB-A.

That MiBOXER C4-12 is much better than the EBL and is only a little bit more.

I love the MiBoxrr C4-12. But it is ~$50 and many people are unrolling to spend more than $30. So I think the $22 EBL has a place. But hey, you know me, I have several SkyRC MC3000s, and I bought my first when it was still $150. So you’re definitely preaching to the choir with me.

The EBL was only $16 on Amazon when I bought it so we're taking about ½ the price of the MiBoxer, even when the latter is on sale. For a casual user, the EBL is the clear winner.

Does anyone know if i can use an rc car lipo charger for 21700 cells? It says it will charge li ion. Seems like i could just set it to 1cell li ion set my amps and charge. I would just buy a cheap 21700 holder and solder on +- leads with banana plugs and be good.

You actually explain some incorrect things about this charger. This charger actually have a 20watt max output of power and a total charge power of 4 amps. Means you can charge 2 cells at 2 amps each or 4 cells at one amp each. But to to do this the charger needs to get power from a power brick that has over 20 watts of power also must have pd(power delivery) capability and also much use a usb c to usb c cable and not a usb a to usb c cable. The input will read 9volts instead of 5 volts. Anytime the input says 5 volts you are in low power mode because your useing a low power usb brick and not useing a high power usb c PD power brick. Also the batteries charging current has nothing to do with the power input current of the charger

Not only did I test that it would only max out at 2A, but it even says so right in the manual. If the charger will go over 2A, perhaps they should state so in the manual, and how to achieve that.

@@cheule it can charge 1 lithium cell at 2 amp or 2 cells at 2 amps for both or 3 cells at 1 amp each cell or 4 cells at 1 amp each. But to do this you need to use the charger in the high power mode which need 9 volt inlet power. Your using it on the low power mode with 5 volt inlet power. You need a usbc pd(power delivery) charging brick. You can’t get much power now a days from usb a ports. Usb a even high power usb a tend to max out at only 18watts of power.

Mine is fine still. But I’d get a MiBoxer C4-12 off Amazon for about $50 which can charge 2A in all 4 bays simultaneously. It comes with a high quality AC adapter as well.

Mine is working great. Got it for $16 on Amazon a few months ago. I bought it to test and revive a couple of dead batteries. A friend told me it can do that but I can't find my bag of dead LiIons for testing.

It fits unprotected 21700, which honestly is the bulk of what I use. My logic is that any protected 21700 would have built in charging, and I only have a handful of those (read: I don’t use them commonly at all).

Will it charge a dead 18650 battery? I don't have a new one to revive the dead ones i have, i barely used them when i bought them, stored for long time now and tried to charge them and won't charge.

If a Li-Ion battery is near 0v, it's formed dendrites in the substrate, and it'll dead short internally--meaning it's dead for good. If the voltage is low, like 1.5v, damage has been done, and most Li-Ion chargers won't recognize it. But if you charge it very slowly on a NiCD charger, like at 300mA, until it reaches 2.5v, then you can try to charge it normally. Be very carful though, and don't leave it unattended. Poorly treated li-ion cells can rupture and become a fire.
