EBM Tutorial - Non-Inferiority Trials

Wouldn't the null hypothesis in a superiority trial be "there is no difference between treatment x and treatment y for a given condition" rather than what is stated in the video "Treatment x is NOT more effective than treatment y for a given condition."? Some clarification would be most welcome :)
