Curious if this ebmx motor will be getting released for the talaria mx4. Ive been holding off on motor in hopes of this product over the other options. Already running the upgraded battery and v2.

I have an Ultra Bee with CCW 80v 76ah battery on X-9000 V2 . If I got the UBX80 motor would I need to replace anything else to be able to turn up the power to around 35 kw in moderation ? Majority of my rides staying between 10-17 KW tunes.

No, just install the motor and change the configuration in your x-9000. Good tires maybe to put down all that power!

What is the ideal fully set (ebmx, torp, ko...) for long range but race speed on singletrack in an ultra bee (susp, battery, motor, controller, wheels...) I want ca 30 kw and 50 miles range Thanks all answers Sorry for my english, i'm hungarian

For that much range, you'll have to start with the battery. The one benefit of EBMX is they constantly test and refine their controller and motor to match the bigger, more powerful batteries. Torp's controller is very good but they don't have an Ultra Bee motor yet, so you won't achieve 30kw continuous. As far as we know, KO hasn't released their UB upgrades yet. Long answer for EBMX seems to be the only full set that meets your requirements.

my x9000 controller is in shipment. Cant wait to upgrade from my bac8000 and have a regen throttle now along with a controller that looks much better than the blue / orange ugly color and also not needed phase wire extensions that take up alot of room .

Talaria boys did kind of a comparaison for a speed record. They should release another video about that soon.

I live in Utah county and mostly do single track up AF canyon but also the dunes and out west quite bit I ride an ultra Bee with an x9 and a ebmx 80.5 volt battery really thinking about upgrading to the xub 80 but from my understanding what I've heard is that it's not much more torque on the low to mid end from the stock motor but it has a lot more high-end which I'm not that worried about but would be a big bonus, what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on that motor is not knowing how much more efficient it would be, that's top priority to me to get the most range I can possibly get, so seeing how efficient the xub80 motor is would be awesome

It's more efficient than the stock at speed (mostly due to KV and rotor design) but most people will ride it at higher power (because its capable of that) and lose range. Would a range test between a stock bike at 12.5 Kw and a Full Mod EBMX at 12.5Kw be the type of video you're looking for?

Biggest difference is you won't overheat the stock motor when you ride sand, hills, or race. Once you push the Ultra Bee to 17+ kw you can overheat the motor pretty easily. With the stock motor we had to tune to 15kw to avoid overheating and even at that power we would overheat minutes into a race.

Great vid! Where do you send your battery to get the high power wired installed? I have an EBMX 72v 57ah and the x-9000. Thanks
@ChargedCycleWorks
@ChargedCycleWorks 8 ай бұрын
Contact EBMX for that. Their race battery comes with a QS8 connector and has the capability in the cells to push high power. A 72v 57ah battery is built for more range and not so much high power output so switching it to a QS8 connector may not benefit you very much. Always worth asking and if you could share the info you receive with us as well that would be great for future reference!

Ok but when will I be able to run the bac8000 with the ebmx motor?!
@ChargedCycleWorks
@ChargedCycleWorks 5 ай бұрын
Most likely never. The BAC 8000 is an outdated controller that is Hall Based and the XLB 60 motor is an encoder based motor, so they will not be compatible.

I can confirm at 100% about EBMX X-9000 throttle mosthness, have been using this controller near 1y (got it at first batch) I decided to buy Torp TM25 Motor and combine it with X9000 (I think Im the word first to use this combo, since not even EBMX team has tune made yet), so far so good, peak power was at 26kw when I did power wheelie from 90kmh ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIC3eYaDidCknq8 ) I never had any kind of dirt bike before, so I have 0 experience on offroad riding but with X9000 throttle smoothness its really really easy to do wheelies even for noobs like me. Also you can make "max range" build without loosing top speed, swap setttings for auto FW injection at 90% of motor RPMs, so u can drive normaly without FW (FW=less range and more power) and when u need power just send motor 90% of his capacity to auto enable FW. In general speaking, X9000 is crazy controller with HUGE customization options! *** 9:05 incorrect afirmation, EBMX motor wont give more range, Im using Torp Motor TM25 which is 1kg lighter then XLB-60 and it drains more battery. Resumed, heavier motor = less range. Spend near 1k kms on my trails testing if I can get more range from torp motor, all my collected data is here docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15eFw-CAIXYXoEYzDwaXZon0bMObP42H9QVcGNsDqxLQ/edit?usp=sharing Why are you affirming about XLB-60 brings more range without testing it at 100% before making such a statement? I saw ur team having XLB-60 way way earler then rest of people and what Ive seen from your videos is power test and thats it. Now affirming about giving more range, idk man, seems what all you want is sell sell and sell. EBMX motor will bring x4 more power but not more range
@ChargedCycleWorks
@ChargedCycleWorks 8 ай бұрын
This was not an attempt to sell more motors. Bottom line for everyone reading this, the biggest benefits from upgraded motors are the ability to handle more power, higher top speed, and better heat protection. You shouldn't purchase a motor thinking it will double your range. As for efficiency, this topic is discussed quite often in the X-9000 owners group and really comes down to riding style. Yes, the motor is heavier, so hard pulls with start/stop (like hard enduro) would be less efficient. Gotta turn all that mass. That said, the road-going guys and commuters are reporting increased range at higher sustained rpm's. Repeating what has been discussed there: once the EBMX motor is spun up, the KV rating and internal inertia from rotor design helps with efficiency. We'll do further testing to confirm, but the EBMX tuning team has been helping customers with controller settings to maximize range on their motor specifically.
