For another rec...A River Enchanted is a great fall read! It's a rainy, dreary, windy atmosphere and has elements of mystery and folklore. Perfect for autumn! Might even be better for your "cozy fall" rec video, but I'll put it here anyway!

I recommend Juniper and Thorn by Ava Reid! It starts in the late summer/beginning of fall so it was a very atmospheric read! It was the perfect 5 ⭐️ read for me but I can see how it’s not for everyone. Be sure to check for potential trigger warnings.

I picked up ninth rain upon your recommendation and fell in love hard with it. Almost at the end of the third book in the trilogy and I was looking for something to fill the void that would be left after the poison song and I think I’m quite convinced to pick up godkiller. Thank you.

Ooh I need to watch Castlevania again! It's so unbelievably good, easily the best animated series I've watched in a very long time. I'm not a huge fan of graphic violence and Castlevania WAS violent, but for some reason it didn't really bother me. And all the rest of it makes it so worth it.

You must be annoyed by now but every fall video I recommend The Lanterns Ember by colleen Houck. It's got all the Halloween "characters" are in there and it's just cute and very fall-y. I reread it EVERY YEAR and finish it ON Halloween. ❤❤❤ I don't think I'll ever stop till it's talked on here😅 BUT NOT EVER ANY PRESURE TO READ, it's a love triangle and YA so it's not everyone's taste. I just finished the Last Tale of the Flower Bride, and it wasn’t for me. I listened to it, and I think I might have enjoyed reading it better, simply because the writing style was so poetic… nobody talks like that. It was really weird listening. (However, I’m used to reading ‘higher language’ in books, so it may not have bothered me as much in print.) But yeah, I hated all the characters, all the relationships, it was such a downer of a book. Beautiful writing, definitely atmospheric, but enjoyed neither.

There should be some trigger warnings for “one for my enemy” because there are russian characters and they still traumatise people. You buy book, so beautiful and everybody talks about it. You’re buzzing to finally read it and then come home, open it and… see russian names and vibes and folklore creatures (I know all russian folklore very well and hope to forget it some day). Disgusting. Why nobody talks about that?

I'm confused. Are you complaining there's Russian themes in the book or is there some actual, specific thing connected to them (like when someone doesn't want to read raype, for ex) that's triggering? I'm wondering how "russian characters" on its own can traumatise people...

@@mischarowe books are the space to escape from war and have some rest from worst part of your life. So, for people in Ukraine when we everyday don’t sleep well because of missiles, drones and other things, we buy books to have a rest from it, and once again you bought book, you open it, and russians are even there. In every single part of your life. Yeah, that triggers and I cannot read this type of books. After escaping last year from Bucha and knowing so many people killed. It’s trauma, sorry. Several times found russians in books and every time I just cannot read it at all.

@@aSchastlivaya Ok. But that's not a common trigger. And I doubt you'll find any kind of publishing authority that would consider it as one. Don't get me wrong: I'm not trying to diminish how you're feeling. I'm trying to say that expecting an actual warning on a book saying something like "there are Russian characters in this story" is not reasonable. It'd be like saying there should be a warning when German people are in a book. I can see how you'd be okay with that too though. But objectively, they are (on more than one level) not feesible or reasonable. But that's just my opinion - born from confusion on how it could possibly be logical to enforce warnings like that. Not trying to hate.

@@mischarowe sorry, just I was not trying to make some hate speech for the author of the video. I personally would like just to be warned that book is buit up on russian folklore. And when I see review about it and not mentioning that ... sorry, that triggered me. I know that we, bookworms, are very emotional and buy books when see some really good review without checking information about it sometimes. Truly make a triggerwarning from this would be rediculous, but just mentioning in review would be really nice. Ukrainians read english books and yeah, we are watching booktube. Video is really great, I put several books to my TBR
