the problem with the ebr is, that if a noob drives it your team is set up to fail. If a somewhat good player is sitting behind the monitor your team all of a sudden has an extremely high chance of winning. The two extremes are just so far appart.

the best way to balance this tank would be to give it the same physics as non-wheeled tanks. almost every game an ebr will take a jump or a hit a slight bump at 90 km/h and somehow not flip yet you tak that same jump at 60 km/h in a normal light and you flip and die

I think the magically disappearing bullet hits and magical bounces are still the biggest gripes on this tank. If those will be gone then maybe people can finally call this "tank" balance

Exactly! The magic unobtanium wheels essentially triple the effective HP of a tank that is quite hard to hit. With the aiming mechanics of high-alpha guns someone with a 75%+ hit rate is going to be more like 40-50% hit rate on a good day. Then there is about a 50% chance it will do zero damage ("How is that fair?" iyouxin) Simply making the wheels more fragile and treating them as thin spaced armor there would be fewer cases of them shrugging off 152mm shells without consequence.

Trying to traverse far enough ahead of one to bring the bloom down to a 20 meter circle, lead by about 3 tank lengths and hope they don't turn 90 degrees after you fire. Then when they are close you're shotgunning and their relative motion challenges network latency.

a good way to balance this is to give it gunhandeling like a heavie or most other lights. And especially during driving. Like make it as big as the screen so that you really only have a chance to hit if you are very near them.

In the eyes of WG this tank is balanced simple because if one side have an EBR the other side must also have one, thus making it balanced. They dont take into accout that there is some EBR players much, much better than others, and at times its like just one side have an EBR.

i dont think wg can nerf this tank much more, as average players also need to play the tank and still somewhat perform, and the winrate across all tier 10 lights arent big enough to warrant a nerf, imo. i can say this in confidence as i have over 1k battles in the ebr 105 edit: redshire is one of the best maps for this tank because of the middle ridge, live oaks is also very good for this tank. imo prokhorovka is better suited for the other light tanks because they have way better view range than the ebr

Imagine what you need to do with other LTs in order to get this kind of score in this specific battle. I can describe this as "thoughtlessly running around the battlefield, get tons of assist dmg, take some shots,... There's nothing left to do." Of course you need to be good to perform well with any tank. But this car requires a lot less effort. You just need to get used to this car, because it can make 180 turns ignoring physics XDDD This car is not as broken as it was. But still, it damages the game heavily.

Adding EBR to the game was a huge mistake by Wargaming and I'm sure it caused the biggest exodus of gamers then. Every game's mechanics, map design, spotting system and physics weren't ready for French wheelies. And there are still issues with this. I believe WG knows about it that's why they didn't add other wheeled light tanks. They could probably add a branch for every nation because these vehicles were popular in real life but they added only mediocre medium British wheels.

Ebr has taken more away from the game then added. It added money to wg pockets but the game had little benefit. We had the rodent arty and then they nerfed arty to appease the general population only to replace it with a 90 KM tank were most turrets can’t keep up when a average to close distance is applied . And I will die on the this hill - EBRs are worse for the game than arty. They just make it a complete arcade experience as shown by your good self. At least with arty it is somewhat predictable, their location, their killing fields etc and is shown when they fire (with quite a clear trace so blind firing is very possible) so you know you have a period of X seconds to perform an action before the arty is ready to fire again. EBRs are pure random zooming, whilst being able to lock on and shoot you, and 50%+ of the time when you hit them it does no damage. Literally cannot stand them!

You can't say they are "better" than other Lights, because they are a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Playstyle.... and so when playing against them you should "adjust" your playstyle. That's like saying "heavy's" are better than Lights. Normal lights also do lots of "spotting damage" so how did you have a "special" game? Now, doesn't mean they likely shouldn't be adjusted, they should. Reduce the "bouncing" against them. Give the Auto-Aim to ALL tanks of the game, the games sucks. And buff the "speeds" and "accuracy" of other tanks, namely remove the Nerfs due to the Physics added to the game and the Round Placement Nerf.
