I know this is 4 months late, but did you notice the video had no room tone or echo, or atmospheric noise? Even when the crowd got hype you didn't hear a lot of noise right? That usually means the crowd was too loud next to the camera, so they edited down the crowd noise and raised the music volume. You can tell at certain points when you should be hearing SOMETHING but no sound is audible

Absolutely nothing against Beast because he's one of my favorites, but I'm still kinda sad Boi Mijo didn't win lol I've watched so many videos of him in this event over the past couple of years and I've never seen him make it this far into the finals, nonetheless win, and I know Beast has won this before. Again they're both great in my eyes, but I've become such a huge fan of Boi Mijo's style anyways so yeah I still wish he won he deserves it 😭 (Idk if he ever won EBS before but I don't recall)

This is a new concept at ebs, where champs defend their title against people who wanna "call them out", if the champ thinks they are worthy they are allowed to go for the title. Even champs can collect belts from previous champs or later ones. At least thats how i understood it. Some anime type of stuff xD

@@Ghound Thx for asking! It basically comes down to 2 things imo: intent and musicality, which Boi Mijo delivered in all rounds as opposed to Beast. And, tbh, I was expecting Beast to come with way more material and buckness, cause thats Boi Mijo ffs, everybody knows hes nuts and drop suicidal moves, and Beast don't do that kind of stuff, so Id thought Beast would come up with some killoff material or sumtin. And, one more thing, Boi Mijo is opening every rounds, goin first on each beat! Round 1 Character vs Get Off This one can go both ways for most people im guessin. I feel like Ive already saw all what Beast done in the warmup. "Cap move" was low difficulty and originality. Then straight to the get off, too hasty and predictable, ands its a bit early to take the shirt off rofl Boi Mijo round was all musicality and storytelling and character building. That cap move had a higher difficulty level, therefore more bound to fail : like imagine for a minute hes dropping the hat straight on that first move 30 seconds in, hes taking more risk. Other than that, his flow and travelling was tight and on point. Round 2 K.O by Boi Mijo I mean like, if you give this one to Beast, theres no hope for you lmfao This was pure MijoBull acrobuck madness over there from Boi Mijo. Plus, once again, one cap move that couldve end his round if dropped (always favor the ppl who takes more risk) He's riding the beat on point, musicality on top once again. Pure Snoop! Beast looked a bit sloppy to me, especially from mid-round on. Seems he knows he can't play with that level of acrobuck, hes getting a bit cocky, relying on his lil crew and hype, and not purely on his krump. I mean the way he ended that round was not serious. He's not hungry, yet he has everything to prove as a "champ". Round 3 Style vs Style Once again, this one can go both ways for most people im guessin, but not for me. Yes Beast delivered more energy let's say, but he did things Ive seen him do many times, he's the get off guy, and like, bruh, those shoe moves are not it cause they hard to miss, I dont get the intent, and they a bit cringy. Also, notice how the crew around him is almost battling with him lol, as opposed to Boi Mijo whos just doin his thang alone. That can add some type of bias (like woah all those krumpers are rooting for him, he must be winnin lol, jk). Tbh, they shouldnt allow crew to stay on stage like that... but im digressing. In the end, energy alone doesnt win a round. Let's say the appreciation of this round can be more subjective (yes its all subsjective i know lol) : to me, Boi Mijo style was more original. I prefered his musicality and flow in this round. Nothing superfluous. Was expecting more from Beast. And ffs stop lifting baby eyex lol dude must be so fed up with this haha Round 4 Close one This round was the closest imo, yet I give it to Boi Mijo as well. Repeating myself, but more risk taking from Boi Mijo right off the bat with the cap moves (tight recovery also). That count for points in my book. Nice tutting by Snoop : I like how his style evolved and is more mature, more details and finesse overall, that tongue move haha! The combo at the end slapped. I wouldve gave this one to Beast for his liveness and tricks, but once he touched the cap and shoe, it was done for me. This is filler moves and he shouldve done more at this level of competition and at this point in the battle. If you can't miss the move, i.e. when Beast is just holding the cap/shoe and gettin off while holding it, you dont need that in your round. I mean, if it doesnt add to your round, just dont touch the dayum shoe and cap lol But I can understand if you gave this one to Beast. I will always favor originality over everything. Round 5 Boi Mijo teaching how you actually use props to uplift your round lol Level of difficulty is when you can actually lose the round by missing one cap/shoe move. That adds to the round. Im almost leaning towards Beast for this one, his tricks and musicality was tight. I just don't feel how he was relying on his lil crew at end the round, like wtf is that, you're oversea bruh lol haha So I really like how Boi Mijo came back at him fierce and buck and jumpin in the crowd like : "you got your lil crew, but you're in my house here homie" Wish the crowd got friekin wild over there, and that wouldve been a wrap, but crowd sucked a** lol! like wtf Overall, hope you see my points. Judging art is highly subjective obviously. But overall the champ had everything to proove and had more weight on his side, yet Boi Mijo was more hungry, more original. Don't get me wrong, I love Beast, matter of fact always been more on the Eyex side than Mijo side of krump as far as my appreciation goes. But yeah I give it to Boi Mijo. And idgaf what the judges says haha been eyeing krump since 2005 so I mean, I can respect JSlam take (was he on this pannel tho?), but other ones are not veterans so they got no weight.

Just want to say big respect to Mijo and Beast. After Tight Eyez you guys have been the biggest ambassadors for krump (outside of Russia and Asia). I wanted Mijo to win here because he was the first ambassador after Tight Eyez but I think the result is fair. I wish Beast's style was more buck/raw, but other than that I agree that he won more rounds but it was very close.

I think if big mijo didn’t stop and go so much cause his energy drains he coulda brought the crowd in with him after the kill offs cause his physical strength is crazy he does wild athletic maneuvers but beast knows how to get the crowd involved and thats huge it gives the perception of one winning even if they’re not.
