Just failed 30 new homes outside condenser units for everyone of them using 15a and 20 amp Romex inside Liquitite. They even tried getting slick by removing the jacketing from some whips that had romex. Builder complained to AHJ that I was causing them undue hardship and how are their installers supposed to know that Romex cant be used in wet locations, and that everyone does it wrong and gets away with it. Sad building industry we live in today with no respect for something that isn't theirs. One of their complaints was no other inspector will open electrical panels on outside units and I shouldn't be able to by law. Unfortunately for them I also hold a Georgia EC Master Board License in Electric and I can open what ever I want in terms of panels without restrictions as only an Inspector. Builders fear an inspector who holds a multi screwdriver when they show up on their builds. Right DR ?
