Hey I finally finished my daughters bike. I got the whole thing put together mega moto 105 set to max on everything plus custom paint! It is SWEET! I did make a dip shizz move though 😂. I forgot I was waiting on lash caps when did the lash ans fired it up and it SOB ran nice for like 60 secs as it warmed up and I started tweaking the carb it shut off and the pull start to refire it was stiff as hell. It would rotate all the way but the thing would kick back so I look and obviously see that the valve lash is off because I didn’t have lash caps! Duhhhh!! Imma idiot sometimes. But hey they are coming in today so hopefully by tomorrow I’ll get the seat off and get into that valve cover to fix it up.. it’s a metric ton of thanks to you brother, I mean it. God bless you for making it look accessible enough for me to find a cool outlet to give me something to feel good about and include my daughters in. God bless you and your family brother 🙏. 2A=➡️2️⃣🐻💪s

Why am I excited to see an anodized rod that looks cool even though you can’t see it after you bolt the side cover on? And this tells me that the 236 on my Coleman RSV with the same head, Dyno 308 cam, roller rockers, and bigger carb should be at least 600-650 HP. 😁

Okay genuine question before I go spend all this money so should I just get a 228 ec motor and build it or a wildcat 240 motor instead of my planned 420 predator build

I honestly think for the price the wildcat 240rs engine is the best for the cost that is my opinion though

The 236cc stroker kit in your link is the old 236R version not the one used in the 236RX short block assy. that you are showing us. I assume at some point EC will offer a 236RX rotating assy. and a 240RX one as well but they have not listed those items as available for sale as yet. This stuff is coming out so fast now it's hard to keep up!
@scarface502842 ай бұрын
I contacted ec and they said they would start selling/list the 236x rod and pistons as soon as they get enough stocked in house.

I don't really know, but on the second pull, on the ported head, it seems like between 6500 and 7600 rpm the engine is getting into valve float, 'cause the horsepower curve is falling so much.. or is there another explanation for this, like air fuel ratio?? I also noticed this on the old road to horsepower with the predator 212.. but there was no problems with the valves or anything
@NubsWithGuns3 ай бұрын
Look up the cam specs on EC website. 7600 is about the peak of it if I recall correctly.

Most internal billet engine parts are machined from a forged billet of metal
@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance3 ай бұрын
True but a forged rod is forged into the basic rod shape. It’s similar to how wrenches are made. It makes for a stronger piece.
@pullstartpatriot3 ай бұрын
so what do them guys do to them that make them sound so radical? -- these sound almost stock.
@deathtrapperformanceminibi2603 ай бұрын
Lots more compression, much better flowing cylinder heads, much bigger cams, bigger carbs and the majority also run methanol instead of gas
@NubsWithGuns3 ай бұрын
Cheap headers and ebay mufflers, LOL Methanol is probably causing the sound you are thinking of. Makes them ound like they are ready to launch to the moon.

I have a Tillotson 212E hemi. Got her pretty well built up. 1.2 rockers, Chromoly Push rods, SS valves, ported head (myself) EC 475 intake adapter, hot 265 Cam (fire 265 on the way) fed with a nibbi 24mm... I really wanna do a stroker and flat top but I'm afraid of Valve to piston clearance.... Any advice!?! What could be my next step. Love the Channel! Inspires me to do more all on my own!
@NubsWithGuns3 ай бұрын
A non hemi head seems like a good start if clearance is the concern. I'm no expert so if I am missing something someone please LMK. Only thing is it sounds like you have some work into that head would need new everything again.
