Ecclesiastes is one of my favorite books when I need to vent out my negative emotions. It is a book that proves that God understands us humans so well that He has devoted an entire book for us to see the bigger picture and not dwell on our negativity.

“Not one upright woman among them all”, is that really what the scripture says? Is God condemning all women?

It is Solomon's wisdom. He is talking about thousands of the women he had met or his wives. While he is talking about one righteous man among thousands, he said there is no righteous woman among the thousands. Moreover, as we read in the next verse, it said: Ecclesiastes 7:29 - Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes. Now, it means all have sought out many schemes, although God has made them upright.

@@ejayyforchristt Oh I see. Thank you for such a thoughtful answer, it makes better sense now. Solomon, while wise in many regards… I’m not sure if he ended up on God’s good side. With allowing his 100+ wives (more than 100?) to build shrines and images of their foreign gods all over Jerusalem, and making a mockery of marriage having a senseless amount of wives, I can’t imagine God was pleased with him by his end. But, that many women and their false beliefs will surely leave a distaste in the man. Which explains his opinion. Thank you for the education Ejayy 👍🏻
