@sayingnigromakesyoutubecry2647 There's a myth that John C Lilly cut his penis off but he said in an interview it was just a ketamine delusion. The creator of Ecco confirmed that the game was heavily inspired by John C Lily, though. Even the name. (Ecco was the name of the alien organization that John thought cut his penis off.) He believed dolphins were the bridge between humans and aliens and worked closely with them learning to communicate so humans and ECCO could talk. Very similar to the premise of the game.

Alien race sucks up the marine life every 1000 years because they've got no other food elsewhere. Ecco avoids being captured and goes back in time to heal the Asterite, the oldest known being in the ocean. The Asterite gives Ecco it's power to breathe under water and to kill the aliens. Ecco goes back to the start of the game where every one got captured and gets captured on purpose to find the queen and kill it.

That was an incredible run. I didnt think halfbaked time was even beatable. I could never figure out how to perform the camera glitch so i used to do no camera glitch runs.
