They actually used both. This version only plays on the car radio when Darry & Trish are being followed by the police. The original version is played over the phone to Darry then the film ends with the song playing.

Nice to hear it in it's entirety & in stereo. It's funny because on the audio commentary from the Scream Factory Blu-ray, Justin Long asks Victor Salva if it's Siouxsie & The Banshees doing the song & Victor says yes. I'll assume neither of them are huge Siouxsie fans, but did they not notice in the credits that the song is credited as being performed by Echo 3? I also noticed that Siouxsie is misspelled as Siouxie in the credits. This is a common mistake that seems to happen quite often.

@Aldo Sosa No, I'm not a friend or producer. Just a big fan of both the "Jeepers Creepers" franchise & Siouxsie. So anytime I notice her name misspelled ( like in "School Of Rock" ) or I see a poster of her or a character in a movie wearing a Siouxsie t-shirt, it always sticks out. The most recent example I've seen would be "It: Chapter 1" where Sophia has a Siouxsie poster on her bedroom wall.
