I feel like the movies had potential to be something so much more ... 1 and 2 were great, 3 was "meh" ... I think they had a 4th, but I don't care enough to open another tab to Google it. It was probably shit too, like 3. But the two biggest limitations were the director is a pedophile and "every 27 years" kind of limits the number of sequels (prequels) etc. Then again, it might just get ridiculous like some of the last Tremors movies. ;-)

This entire opening literally copied the whole opening of the first one and gave it a few changes which is absolutely stupid. This movie should’ve been made by a different director and follow the events after the second but no, it turned into a cheap film that follows nothing from its trilogy.

Im okay with them trying to pay a tribute to the first movie but they made it worse and got lazy. They used green screen to film that. What made the scene in the first movie soo good was it was shot outside using real footage of the truck approaching through the inside of the car. But I agree they need a different director and pick up after the 2nd film.

Whoa, this version of the chase is even more like what was, believe it or not, a true story this sequence and the one from the first movie borrows heavily from, even putting in the Creeper stopping to change its plates. Don’t believe it’s loosely based on a true story? Look up Dennis Depue’s Unsolved mysteries. Everything up til them going back to what was an abandoned school irl was copied from it. Anyway, awesome vid

I dunno, the demon changing license plates to start with, just harshes my buzz on horror. #2, if you go there, real country people ALWAYS notice you and smile and wave. There can't POSSIBLY be another of these around. They'd stick out like a sore thumb. You'd remember it.

There’s that segment from the old “Unsolved Mysteries” show with Robert Stack that is very similar to this opening scene. Always wondered if that was the inspiration for the original movie.
@Mdntwaffles

Whether Victor Salva admits it or not, the opening sequence to the first Jeepers Creepers is almost scene for scene identical to the Unsolved Mysteries’ reenactment, broadcast at least 7 years before JC was ever released. There’s no way that is a coincidence.

I feel like this opening is based off the true story that the 1st jeepers creepers was kind of built off of back in 1990 when a man murdered his wife and was caught in the act of disposing her body by 2 people driving by an abandoned school house even though this opening mimics the original so much.

The only reason they stay on this date is because the director made so the next movie can’t come out until an actual 23 years but the loophole is just making all the movies before he goes into rest

Unless it's a huge established A-List name Hollywood tends to ignore actors once they get much older. As a result they can't get much work and are forced to take roles in low budget or less than stellar productions due to ageism and also because it costs more to insure them on sets.

Dee Wallace ended up becoming a Werewolf in the original film "The Howling". Then she was in the Film Cujo" about a large rabid dog that has her trapped. She's much older here in this film but that's her.

Some movies don't need a remake!!!Eg:TITANIC,THE TEN COMMANDMENTS,TROY, HEROES SHED NO NO TEARS etc. Carefully check the opening scene,you could definitely notice that the thing holding the human-animal(villain) wasn't a human body, but pieces of rags bagged together. I was amongst the first batch of persons to watch Jeepers Creepers on it release. Well,that is one the advantages of living in a 3rd World country,new movies are telecast late in the night as LATE MOVIES. I never stopped talking about this movie in the following morning, because it was very nice and I thought they should have cut its head off, after running over it several times, breaking it wings and almost dying.
