ECHO 4510 Initial Thoughts and Overview

I bought 1 a year ago. I love the thing. I took the bar off to clean it and spent an hour trying to get it back on. That was frustrating, but I got it. I'm 54 now so this will be my last chainsaw unless I discover the fountain of youth.

Hi, if you look upclose at the markings on the "plastic" parts you'll read it says PA-GF which means, Polyamide filled with glass fiber, which is very good. Pallet truck wheels are made of the same or similar stuff.

That's a sharp looking saw. I was actually just thinking the other day about how much you would have to move the camera for different angles and all the editing that would be envoled and I'm sure many other things. Great job👍

I went down the poulan bar rabbit hole with my 4620 poulan pro. After comparing mounts, I purchased a K095 mount bar and it works fine. I think the recommended mount was a K041 which was much harder to find and more expensive. My exact bar is an oregon speedcut 200TXLBK095. If you get a chance try out the oregon narrow kerf speed cut system on one of your small saws. They claim 15% increased efficiency and I believe them. I also use the versacut bar on my larger saw. Significantly lighter than any of my other bars.

You just might be changing my mind about these Echo saws. I always thought they were ok but after your previous echo videos and now this one Echo just might be the next saw I purchase. This 4510 is a sweet looking saw. Echo is definitely doing it right in the looks department. For whatever that is worth. Great video again! Killin' it!

So I'm intrigued... what is the logic behind this saw from Echo's marketing? Pricing it's just barely behind the 4910... air filtration and overall looks are way better, but potentially less beefy build type. I'm curious how the performance aspect of it grows or is it just an outcast... damn it now I want this to be the 45cc hot rod because it's wayyyyyyy cool looking.

It looks and feels really cool but it runs like crap. Unless you're going to do the carb and port and muffler, I honestly can't recommend it, even though it is very cheap and technically good value on paper (which is why I bought it).

If the exhaust on the 7310 was too long, just buy or fab west coast style felling dogs to pull you away from the pipe some.

4910 501 bar mount is the 216 but the 095 adapts very easily

@@Brian-Outdoors do you know how long warranty we get? I know there are som problems with this model too. Leaking crankseals, bad bearings and a lip that will chew your ignition module wire.. Paid only 600$. Put my 550 XP 2015 version through helluva lot of abuse, sold it for 550$ :-)

@@lassila3 I thought it was 5 years if you bought it with their gas to extend the warranty but that is only for consumers not for anyone that uses them professionally to make money. Only 1 year I believe for that. Also you have to buy a certain amount of there premixed gas to get that coverage.

K095 is the small Husqvarna mount, D009 is the big Husqvarna mount.

As far as the chip size goes on the .325 chain, it’s amazing what a good hand filing job does. I would get 3/8x1/2” chips from mine before I converted my CS550P over to 3/8 chain. Look into (if it’s even possible with mass produced parts) having it converted into a rim style setup. You’ll be much happier in the long run.

I have experience with the cs 4510 it's bone stock has been since December 2019. How can I get it to run better. The first chain that come on it was really the best chain . But the saw is a pig w lipstick. It doesn't even kick back w u give it gas .. maybe a little more horsepower at the end of the tank . Don't even know if running a saw all the way out of gas is good for two stroke chainsaw strato. The echo bars are pretty crappy u right about that they used to be better.Helpful comments please.

did you ever find a way to make yours go better? I'm really fed up with the lacklustre power output and constant bogging down with mine. He demo'd removing the carb restrictors in a later video (aug 2022) but I'm skeptical that this is a good idea long term as they seem to have a role in preventing the jet adjustment screws from moving on their own over time.

I guess i dont understand this saws place in the line up. It weighs more than a 4910, costs approximately the same and has less power. Am I missing something?

Yes. You are missing my mistake. I mistook it for the 4310 and made an impulse purchase. I gave it away to someone in need.

@@novicelumberjack The 4310 came out about 6 months after I bought my 4510. After much research and buyer's regret, I still haven't gotten over it. Do you think removing the restrictors is a viable thing long term? Some commentators have speculated that they serve the purpose of keeping the jet screws from moving on their own through vibrations, is that a logical worry?

Hi I love all my ECHO saws! The name / numbers are different at some saws here in Germany. I don‘t know why. We are using only ECHO saws. I‘m a tree climbing feller. In use : CS-2511TES, DCS-2500, CS-362TES & WES, CS-501SXH and the lovely CS-7310SX. I like your work and your content. I hope you continue to show a lot of your work. Poorly. Power wise, they are very similar. But weight and build quality....no. the 4310 is two pounds lighter and professional grade. It is awesome.

I might have gone with the Hooskiverna 543xp. Albeit a little bit more expensive. But it is a magnesium case saw and has just shy of 3hp rating. I personally am biased against plastic clamshell cases. As they do not lend themselves to long hard running. And were designed to be replaced mostly, instead of repaired. The Stihl ms241(if you able to find one) is a screamer as well when ported. Along with a Dolmar 4300 is a super stout lil 40cc saw, that's built to impress.

BEAUTIFUL SAW, CONGRATS! Echo using the black accents really sets it off. Doesn’t look as ‘cheap’ as the all orange monotone appearance. About my only gripe with a lot of the Echos is the cheap looking and feeling plastic parts. PA6 GF, and they don’t even say if it is GF30? Seriously, my 15 year old Husky body parts look as good, maybe even better than my new CS-590! I know, its a chain saw, and its a minor thing, but the details matter, sometimes?! Yeah, K095 small Mount also for Dolmar/Makita. To each their own on safety, and it is your channel, and your choices, AND Your Business; I would just ask you to play it safe, and consider other safety features. I like you and I am a Subscriber, just meant in a good way. I would offer up one of your bucking cuts, @ 19:51! Nothing wrong with what you did, but it would not have taken much for that saw to somehow slip, or whatever, and be into your leg! Juss sayin... Enjoy your channel, and look forward to more! It is strato. Upper part of the channel gets clean air, lower - fueled. Once you go WOT the butterflies in carburettor work as separators. The wall between them allowing that is ECHO patented.
