Ah, the winter beauty of the mountains. Looks like there will be good water for the hikers and maybe some snow in the passes into the summer. But as capricious as Ma Nature can be, who knows. don't know when or even if I'll see the Sierra Nevada trails again. I've made a wonderful recovery and now am working on the restoration of my vehicles to trustworthy status. In car years they may both be older than my 81 years. I'm hiking pretty regularly. Sadly the local, large hiking club leaves me behind so I still hike solo. I'm too slow for the ex military "hey let's do a forced march" hares. Going to see if I can get a group of fellow turtles together. I hiked 2 miles up 1000' in the snow and ice recently, Kept from falling. Your videos with their beautiful scenes of the Sierras keep calling out to me.

Yeah , I was getting worried there for a while with the rain blocking high pressure firmly in place, but this week of on and off rain will ease my fears for the time being. Last year with little to no rain from January on makes me nervous. I'm glad your knees are doing well !! Happy Holidays .

Something I never found myself wishing for is to play in the snow. We get snow here and I just try to hide from it.

It’s crazy I was just watching a fishing show on Lake Tahoe they showed the Sierra mountains and I said to my wife that’s where the Apeman hikes 10 minutes later this pops up on my phone my knee is doing very good you actually texted me right before I went in from the waiting room to get my knee replaced and said don’t blame me in two weeks when your knee is killing you Happy Hiking

Can i know what implants were put into your knees and how are those functioning now. How far can you bend your knees?

Sorry I don’t know what type of implant I have. They are working fantastic and no problems at all. I’m 120 on one knee and 125-130 on the other one.
