@walkermowers1 The shindaiwa eb854 was just released this past summer. MPH and CFM are identical to the eb8520: 201 mph and 760 cfm with the round tube. The unit is not up on the website yet. I tried out he eb8520 in the spring but the eb854 seems a lot more powerful.

Awesome video. I wish I had a camera to make a video of my Shindaiwa EB630
@joeraptor113 жыл бұрын
@walkermowers1 Sounds awesome. This blower sounds like its something else. From watching my video, I'm guessing the new Redmax is way better than my Shindaiwa EB854. I think that's the one I'm going to trade in. I haven't been able to find a dealer here in Canada who carries it yet.

@walkermowers1 It's really up to you. They are all good blowers. I tried out the Redmax 8050 before buying the Shindaiwa. Good blower but not as powerful as the older Redmax 8000 I used to own. The echo pb770 is a good blower too. It's a bit more powerful than the stihl br600 I have. If you're tall, you may not like the short tubes. The Shindaiwa eb854 so far has been an excellent blower. How is your BR600 magnum. I was thinking of getting one in the spring.
@joeraptor113 жыл бұрын
@MattytheDem You're right about the Redmax units. I've read that they will becoming out with updated versions of the 7050 and 8050 sometime this year. The 7500 and 8500 models will replace these two. They're supposed to be lighter and much more powerful. Should be great to see.

Hands down the 600 mags are the one to get if you want the most power.They are awesome and burn very little gas.

@walkermowers1 Considering it has a 79 cc engine, yes it's pretty good on fuel. I only got it at the end of September. So, I probably only have about 6 hours or so on it. It's not broken in yet. On a 2 liter fuel tank, I've gotten well over an hour of use. For fuel efficiency, the Stihl BR600 is the best while the Echo is a close second. The Echo took about 15-20 hours to break in. When I first got it, it was sucking up fuel. After the break in period, it became really good on fuel.

@walkermowers1 Great video walker mowers. I ended up buying a Redmax 8500 from Hitch City last week. So far, I'm impressed with how good it is on fuel. However, it doesn't seem to be significantly more powerful than the Echo PB770. Maybe it just needs a break in period?

Okay, so it's been just over 4 years since you posted the video. Which blower held up the longest and... which blower do you like the best?
@joeraptor113 жыл бұрын
@walkermowers1 Great, would love to see a video on the new Redmax. That's a good price for the blower. MRSP in Canada is $679. Got love how everything is so much more expensive up here than in the U.S. How is the Redmax on fuel? Any good? How would you compare your Redmax with your Stihl BR600? I traded my regular BR600 in for a magnum version this spring. Beautiful blower. It's got more power than the older version just like you said.

@walkermowers1 Yup, things are expensive up here. Generally, handhelds like trimmers and blowers are $100-300 more up here, 21" mowers are $300-500 more too. We also don't have a lot of Redmax dealers so that's another reason why things can be expensive. Stihl and Echo are the top brands here.

I thought I would add a video response of a Husqvarna 580BTS basically same as RedMax EBZ8500 but with Husky colors since they own RedMax. I almost bought the Echo PB770 myself but I think the Husky has a little bit more power and I got it for 475 out the door. I see they are listing for almost 580 dollars now on Husqvarna's website.

@walkermowers1 Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I think I'm going to trade my old BR600 for a new magnum in the spring. Let me know what you decide to buy. They're all good. I also read a comment on lawnsite that indicated that Redmax will be bringing out a new blower next spring. Maybe you want to what to see what they have coming.

@walkermowers1 Congratulations on the new Redmax 8500. I've heard that it's an amazing blower! Where did you get it? How much did you pay? I was thinking of getting one too. Can you do a video of it?

@walkermowers1 Thanks for the advice regarding the break-in period. We'll give it a go. I'll try to do a video on it too. I paid $679 + HST (13%). Things are expensive here in Canada.

@walkermowers1 Did you get the video done?

@walkermowers1 For trimmers, chainsaws, and hedge trimmers, my favourite two brands are Shindaiwa and Stihl. For blowers, I like Redmax and Stihl. One of these days, I'd like to try Kawasaki. I hear they're good for trimmers.
@legostar558 жыл бұрын
did you know that the shindaiwa eb854 has the biggest engine on a backpack leaf blower. Even beating the redmax ebz8500 (quite impressive) but has less cfm than the redmax.
@EchoToolGuy14 жыл бұрын
It should be noted, too, that the stihl is an older model and thus may be a little more worn out. That being said..............Go Echo, Go Shindaiwa!!!

@walkermowers1 Sounds great Walker. Can't wait to see your Redmax 8500 video. I'm hoping it surpasses my Shindaiwa EB854. If it does, I'm trading it in on a new Redmax 8500.I I called my local dealer and they said they will be in mid July.

joe raptor...do you know if the EB 854 needs valve adjustments like the new stihl 600s do?
@joeraptor110 жыл бұрын
The EB854 does not valve adjustments like the Stihl BR600. I think it's every 135 hours or so. I think the Stihl is a little less at 100 hours.

Poulan lol that's not going to hold up to commercial use? You also have to consider product support, which is why brand is very important

That's not me blowing the leaves. It's my brother-in-law. When the video was shot in 2010, they were allowed to blow leaves into the government of Canada's property outside the cottage. That changed in 2011 and now they must mulch, compost, or bag the leaves and put them out to the curb.
