Even though Disney Marvel put their best foot forward in the Echo show, it really had no leg to stand on, and I don't think we'll hear too much about it in the coming weeks. The blanket ban on early reviews was definitely on purpose. Otherwise they'd have had a long sad trail of reviews to cry over before it had even stepped foot on D plus. This show was definitely a gamble on Disney's part.

Just to say: "Point blank" actually means that you are close enough to the target that there is no discernible, or only negligible, drop along the ballistic arc. As Gary describes echo's power, to me it sounds like a big rip-off from Avatar the last Air Bender. Aang can connect with the spirits of past Avatars and go into the Avatar state making himself super strong. Even at the end, when Aang takes away the Firelord's bending with his Avatar powers. It sounds like Echo does the exact same thing to Kingpin by using her magical echo powers to take away kingpin's pain.

Re if Alaqua Cox's pregnancy coincided with filming- she didn't have her baby until this past October. Filming ended in Aug 2022. They certainly did reshoots after that, though I'm not sure when. But a leak in May indicated they'd done the reshoots by then; I don't know if there were more. Though of course they can't have filmed for much more after that anyway, because of the strikes.

Not saying she can't look pretty but the girl is just fat/frumpy, and ppl were probably too scared to confront her about it. Let's be honest, she looked too overweight even in Hawkeye... sorry, but dressing in dark colours and filming scenes at night isn't gonna help if even your face looks pudgy. Some actresses struggle with weight but at least put the work in to get in shape for their roles, that's professionalism, so calling out those who don't put that effort in isn't being mean, it's simply respecting the overwhelming majority of people who do actually put the work in. Look at Florence Pugh for example, she unfortunately gains weight very easily, and you can see that even the slightest variance in weight immediately shows on her face, but she straight away got to work to get in shape for her role as a black widow, Margot Robbie also spoke about how tough it was filming Wolf of Wall Street and staying in shape for the role of Harley... Gal Gadot makes it look easy since she's a model, but think what that involves, she has been on a diet for like, ever, and on top of that trained something crazy like 7hrs a day, 6 days a week for Wonder Woman... it would be far more insulting to everyone like them to not say anything, if someone overweight comes in and thinks they can step into the role of a heroine who in the comics has the body of a supermodel. 🤷‍♂️
