Saw Godzilla Minus One today based on your recommendation. It was awesome. There was about 2 dozen poeple in the theater - I thought with how long it's been out that I would be the only one in the theater. I asked the guy selling tickets if a lot of people were coming to see Aquaman and he said barely anyone was. More people seemed to be coming to see Anyone But You than Aquaman.

Rowling, the creator of the franchise, still exercises creative control, and shows no sign of selling out the way George Lucas did. The failure of Hollywood - Why see a new movie when it looks like a repeat, even if it is a "new IP" like Rebel Moon that contains scenes, lines and characters from other original IPs, or simple sequels/prequels/reboots/re-imaginings of better movies? Episode One will always hold a special place in my heart. I was literally 12 years old and obsessed with Star Wars. The hype up to the release alone will forever be etched into my brain and I didn't even get to see it at release. I collected the Pepsi cans of every single character, I begged my parents to take me to Taco Bell ( which they hated) simply because they had the Star Wars cups and toys. I ate up everything that had to do with that movie and when i finally watched it I was beyond pleased with it. It had everything my 12 year old brain wanted in a Star Wars movie.

There is nothing wrong with the connecting of movies and building off one another the bigger problem is that they don’t flow. In the first few phases of the MCU there was small connections sprinkled throughout. Now though you just a d+ series and then they say here is a movie. If after watching WandaVision her story in Dr Strange was poor. I’m ranting but hopefully someone understands what I’m getting at.

Was there actually a worse year for Hollywood? I realize these days Hollywood incomes also rely on merch, physical media and streaming; not just cinema tickets...but was there really a worse time? A time where they attacked their (former) fans so that those people took their money elsewhere? Produced so much istophobe content while going after the fans for what they think and do? And ending it with bad writing, effects, and hundreds of millions in losses?

The closest thing I can think of was in the 60's when the Westerns and Epic films died out or in the late 70's when people got tired of nepotistic movies based on reality in which neither time period had home video or anything to fall back on but I'll say at least those eras had great films. These last few years especially this year are probably the worst I've ever seen. Just genuinely bad films being made without any sort of quality control or financial responsibility. $250 million dollars just gets thrown around like it's nothing to make the worst crap you can imagine. Just zero accountability from top to bottom.

@@jimmyv3170 you are absolutely right, there are many great films from the 60s and 70s. Some of my favs are also mainstream favs and some are less so. Take Star Wars and Foul Play- two of my favorites from the 70s that I've loved since I was a kid, different genres of course. My grandfather mourned the loss of westerns, he always loved them- even the bad ones he criticized lol. As a kid I loved Bonanza but don't like it as an adult. But even with whatever shenanigans were happening in Hollywood, they still put out some good films that were widely loved across the different movie genres. Some age well and some don't, but there was something there for everyone. These days, no. And most actors/studio people didn't wish to attack the people they relied on to buy cinema tickets or tune in when their stuff was aired on tv. These days, people who actively and vocally hate us still somehow expect us to: buy cinema tickets, merch, streaming services that show their content (most of it is no longer entertainment really), and view it so it counts, and physical media when it's made. Add to that their subpar content and expect us to ignore all that's lacking, lap up the attacks like a freshman during haze week, and keep spending our money in this insane economy. It's lunacy on their parts.

And having them be behind the camera & writing the Flag Ship launch of the Studio first set of films. Or at least use one of the most popular comic book superhero runs as their Bible ... The animation was fantastic but if the story wasn't so thin and had been anywhere near a WHIFF of an Pixar emotional-level story, I would've seen it more than once. 2:41:30 WIT Studios made the first 3 SEASONS of Attack on Titan, not episodes. And if you haven’t watched AoT, do it. WIT did a phenomenal job. MAPPA did an ok job handling season 4 part 1, but parts 2 and 3 were way better animated.

To use philosophy terms, women in the workplace is the material cause. Critical Theory (Frankfurt school Marxism designed to work better in America than class warfare) is the formal cause. And for S&G: private equity €$¢ (gets censored by yt) is the efficient cause, and the damnation of billions through Satanism is the final cause 🤷‍♂️

It ia true writers write since they enjoy the act of putting their thoughts onto paper. So even when they are striking they would still write and meet deadlines. They might not submit it but it is written. Dancing around or marching in the streets is just one way to strike you could be at home working and not submitting the work and still be on strike. However people have some primitive need to dance or march in streets to show off that they are discontent. And the big problem with a mob/group is it only as smart as the oneperson who stands there and egging everyone on.
