I cannot recommend these books highly enough. Blew through all 3 of them by reading the omnibus and it's genuinely amazing how well written they all are. Aaron Dembski-Bowden makes you care about, worry over and cheer on a barely human, psychopathic, mass murdering living tank who flays innocent people for fun, but doesn't do that by hiding it. Instead he uses the two human servants, Septimus and Octavia, to connect Talos to the reader who is on the surface an unrelatable, unlikable character. Yet ADB turns all of that on it's head and makes it work. On top of that the story only gets stronger and makes you more invested as the books go on. Simply damn good writing. It's been some years since I read it and it was nice to hear it this time. Thanks for posting this!!
