In search of intra-group diversity, they erase inter-group diversity - the type of group diversity that actually makes those groups distinct and interesting in the first place. Fan Theory: Ever though that one of the lost legions were pariahs. Due to the high number of pykers appearing during the Great Crusade. The emperor of man kind decides to enlist the help of one of the lost primarchs to find, reasearch and eliminate these pykers. One of the Lost Primarchs, who is a pariah himself, couldnt afford to thin his legion to hunt these pykers due to another task setforth by the emperor himself to research and wage a secret war with the forces of chaos or other horrors yet to be mentioned. So to solve this dilemma, He decided to perform experiments on the populace of the mysterious world 913, to integrate his pariah gene onto its people. He choose the world Pentacon to be the staging ground of his experiments since this world exhibits the tains of chaos so it fall under his jurisidiction. After events of horrific experimentation, gruesome wars, and butt load of red tapes, cover ups, or whatever to hide what really happen, the sisters of silence where born to aid the imperium. Again its just a fan theory.

I would love if they made a Constantine type sister of silence. I'd love it if there was a perpetual blank, who fought alongside the Emperor and maybe she lost her voice box in a battle and therefore all the sisters of silence had to learn sign language etc. You could make an awesome character arc around that.

I feel like - in the scale of 40k - 10,000 sounds very low. Especially with all of the references (from what I recall) to the idea of the Sisters' Black Ships being the second largest spacefaring naval organization. Like, these are the people delivering 1k-10k psychers **per day** to the Emperor.

Keep in mind that in the lore a dozen space marines is enough to completely conquer most planets entirely...and a single custodes is basically half a space marine CHAPTER by himself(and thats on the low end), these fuckers dont even sleep for HUNDREDS of years at a time.

i think it would be far cooler for amazon to give us silent sisters rather than female custodes. it would take a one in a million actress to pull off a totally silent role and be able to convey everything with their expressions, it would be FAR cooler to see a silent sister that fits the lore than a shoe horned in DEI horror

Ya I do think lots of reasons for the DEI femcustodies is for two reasons 1. Another display of hatred towards men such as not allowing male focused stuff such as groups or the horrid male gaze 2. Hatred of women given how they claim to be pro women but oddly against any sign of feminity both in terms of looks and behavior and typically just write them to be unlikeable
